I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Cape House, and it was a truly fantastic experience. The service was exceptional, and our stay was nothing short of perfect. A special mention must go to the manager, Eranda. He is one of the kindest and most inventive managers I’ve ever encountered at a hotel. His attention to detail and genuine care for guests made our stay incredibly enjoyable. He was especially wonderful with my son, making him feel welcome and special throughout our visit. I highly recommend the Cape House to anyone looking for a remarkable place to stay. The combination of outstanding service, comfortable accommodations, and Eranda’s exceptional management truly sets this place apart. Eranda deserves a massive raise for his dedication and the wonderful experience he provides to guests. Thank you, Cape House, for an unforgettable stay. We will definitely be returning!

It was very close to Pahanthudawa. The view of the room was noce and the set up was very comfortable for the family. Children enjoyed it. Bandara and Sunil gave a superb service. They are very attentive, kind and friendly.

The best hotel in Sri Lanka. Kind and nice staff Very high-level chef Amazing food. Excellent pool. Great rooms. Wonderful nature Including a stream flowing inside the hotel Natural pools Perfectly engineered seating areas. Peacocks flying above you. The facility is one thing but the staff, the complimentary aspects, the care and attention of everyone was fantastic. From the manager, to the driver, the restaurant staff, the chefs, everybody is kind, patient, hospitable and knowledgeable about the surroundings. It is a wonderful mix of comfortable stay with facilities and immersion into nature. The one hour massage, the yoga session, the tour in the village with the local guide were all extra perks that we enjoyed thoroughly. We even asked for traditional coconut pancakes for breakfast and the chefs prepared a delicious meal every time. They shared local snippets with us about the flora, fauna and culture of the region, we visited the temple and the rice fields, the school. The manager and the staff were always attentive with our needs and questions, they drove us and picked us up from the locations. We cannot recommend the place enough, truly! It's been the highlight of our three-week Sri Lanka trip so far. It is not just an accommodation, it's a story in itself 🙏♥️

Amazing garden, very cool area, and nice rooms. And most of all, very cool staff. Extremely helpful and nice! Also we had visit from monkeys and cute dogs. We slept comfortably. Unfortunately, we could only stay one night - we would've loved to stay longer. Do not miss out on the pahathudawa waterfall just close by.

We are a Belgian family (father and 2 adult children) travelling through Sri Lanka in summer 2023. Looking for a hotel at walking distance from the Horton Plains National Park we ended up in the Hill Safari Tea Estate Hotel. At the Ohiya train station (approx. 5 km from the hotel) we were picked up by the owner, Mr Perera, who was very welcoming and knowledgeable about the site. The hotel, located in a tea plantation, has a fantastic view on the Sri Lankan lowlands (comparable to that at World’s End). Just note that the hotel is quite remotely located and therefore food is taken on site (food is excellent!). We organized a trip to the Horton Plains, going (early morning) by tuktuk and returning by foot (watch out for sunburn on the way back!). We can only be (very) positive about the hotel, the owners, and the staff.
