Wonderful, tastefully decorated hotel. Lots of attention to detail. Cozy, quiet and clean. The hotel is in a busy area, but it doesn't feel it inside at all. The room we stayed in has the option of sliding the glass windows and forming a common space with a terrace. All you have in front of you is the ocean. Arriving from the airport is really easy - almost the entire way is on a toll highway. The hotel staff is extremely pleasant and kindly. I'm not even talking about Francesca. She's amazing!!! Thank you for the early check in and late check out. I haven't had a tastier breakfast in those regions. Even the espresso was good, which is rare in Sri Lanka or I haven't been in right places. Be sure to try the massage. Something unique.

My stay at Sea Star Boutique Hotel was absolutely wonderful! From the moment I arrived, I was warmly welcomed by the incredibly friendly and attentive staff. Their hospitality made me feel at home, and they always went the extra mile to ensure I had everything I needed. A special mention goes to the manager, Asela, who is exceptionally professional, kind, and highly efficient. His dedication to providing top-notch service is truly commendable, and he ensures that everything in the hotel runs smoothly. His attention to detail and genuine care for guests make a huge difference. The hotel itself is clean, beautifully maintained, and perfectly located. The atmosphere is peaceful and relaxing, making it an ideal place to unwind. The rooms are comfortable, and the facilities are excellent. I highly recommend Sea Star Boutique Hotel to anyone looking for a memorable stay with outstanding service. I will definitely be returning!

We very much enjoyed our stay here and, as a result, even extended our stay. The location is great (few min from the main road and beach), the accommodation is very clean and the pool was nice. Also, the staff was lovely. Good breakfast. And a great place for spotting wildlife!

Hikkaduwa is one of the best tourist beach spots with friendly and helpful local people. The weather is cool even though we had some rain, but we stayed at the villa on the balcony watching people fishing kayaking and canoeing down the River. The beach area has some unique fresh seafood restaurants, surfing, snorkeling and you can even rent out glass-bottomed boat to see underwater world. There is also a Turtle Hatchery here and Tsunami museum for tourists. Beach is very clean.

Selection of accommodation options are many to suit your budget. Most of the properties are on the beach and with great ocean front views. You can enjoy variety of cuisines in many restaurants located close by.

Hikkaduwa has fabulous beaches but when we stayed in March...

Hikkaduwa has fabulous beaches but when we stayed in March the flags were up for no swimming as the waves were so big. This was not a problem for us as we did not want to swim particularly but people that want to snorkeor have young children that want to swim may be disappointed. Great to be close to Galle but be in a quieter location. Aboit 20 mins by car. Lots of little bars and places to eat along the beach. Beaches are quiet and less full of tourist than Galle. There are quite a few stray dogs (everywhere in Sri Lanka) which don't bother you but do be mindful that they may go to the toilet on the beach so watch where you tread!!!

The water temp was nice, waves for surfing & plenty of shops & restaurants to choose from. Close proximity to Galle by bus & snorkelling at ant of the beaches to see colourful fish + turtles.

I was away for 44 nights in the sun.

I was away for 44 nights in the sun. Swimming reading away from a cold winter. What else can you ask for. Got good food good people. Beautiful beaches, so many beautiful things to see. Fish everywhere, sharks ( baby ones) turtles. Elephants safari the place is awesome.

Villa Paradise is the best choice for your stay in Hikkaduwa Sri Lanka. The hotel is right on the beach. Near the hotel are also two main beaches of the Hikadduwa. The room were so nice, clean and cozy. The food was delicious, the staff and the owner were really friendly and helpfull. They recommend and organized for you also really good trips around the Sri Lanka. We couldn't pick a better place to spend our days in Sri Lanka.

Luxury boutique at its finest. It was absolutely incredible, the rooms, the view and the location for surfing, restaurants, sundowners, well, I don’t think you can beat it in hikkaduwa. Quite simply it felt like a home from home and the hotel feel was sensational. We loved Kiki the dog and overall, I would not recommend anywhere but the DORMERO hotel to anyone thinking of visiting hikkaduwa.
