This hotel is, with no doubt, the best hotel in Hikkaduwa (and probably in Sri Lanka) The location is perfect, the rooms are amazing (well organised, incredible views, all the amenities you can need, soft towels, good coffee and tea…), the breakfast is the best one we have had in Sri Lanka (awesome!!!), the pool is fantastic and the staff is the best that the hotel keeps…thanks to Franzi for all the recommendations, attentions and care ❤️). We really didn’t want to come back home 🥹. The relation quality-price can’t be better and I do not understand yet why the hotel just keeps 5 stars! Should be at least 6! Really, the best place in Sri Lanka for relaxing, surfing or enjoying the sun. We will be back as soon as we can Thanks!!!

The hotel is located right on the beach, not far from Galle, and from the rooms you can have a panoramic view of the vast beach in Hikkaduwa. The rooms are spacious and equipped with smart home appliances, a kitchen, an oven, tableware, and all the necessary facilities. The food served at the hotel is particularly outstanding and delicious! It was the best meal I've ever had in Sri Lanka! The hotel staff are very friendly! We had a great time in Hikkaduwa!

The host, Hansitha is genuine and help me in everyway. Excellent location. Room and bathroom was okay to me as a solo traveler. Specially, their laundry service was much more helpful to me and the laundry service fee was very reasonable.

This was our 16th place to stay in Sri Lanka. It has to be the most peaceful, relaxing and chilled out of all. Lovely clean, spacious room, with a small seating area which we loved the views onto the lake. The staff were exceptional! We also hired their kayaks and went for a trip on the serene lake. We’ll remember this place and would definitely return.

Riff Hikkaduwa is a beautiful boutique hotel with a stunning, trash-free beach and no seaweed. Breakfast is à la carte, offering a rich selection and excellent quality. The hotel boasts two restaurants with top-notch cuisine, always serving fresh and delicious food. The special Japanese restaurant on the terrace has a fantastic atmosphere. The staff is very friendly, and we especially thank the hotel driver La Sante for creating a wonderful program during a rainy day. We visited a local school, an orphanage, met his family, explored mask-making, and went down to the gem mines. La Sante was extremely helpful and pleasant, leaving a great impression on us. Overall, this hotel is an excellent choice, and I would recommend it to my friends.

We loved absolutely everything about this property! We felt so welcome and safe! Very bright spacious rooms, very clean and very comfortable. Breakfast was super delicious and different every day. Peter is a very very nice person, he was so kind to us. It is located in a quiet place perfect for relaxing but at the same time it is not far from the beach, supermarkets and restaurants. I loved how in every room there is a brochure with a list of restaurants, supermarkets and things to do. If you need a ride, there is a Tuk Tuk driver that they would call for you and he is also a very nice guy and not overpriced. If we come to Sri Lanka again, we would definitely stay here again ❤️ thank you so much for everything!

Hikkaduwa is one of the best tourist beach spots with...

Hikkaduwa is one of the best tourist beach spots with friendly and helpful local people. The weather is cool even though we had some rain, but we stayed at the villa on the balcony watching people fishing kayaking and canoeing down the River. The beach area has some unique fresh seafood restaurants, surfing, snorkeling and you can even rent out glass-bottomed boat to see underwater world. There is also a Turtle Hatchery here and Tsunami museum for tourists. Beach is very clean.

Selection of accommodation options are many to suit your budget. Most of the properties are on the beach and with great ocean front views. You can enjoy variety of cuisines in many restaurants located close by.

Hikkaduwa has fabulous beaches but when we stayed in March...

Hikkaduwa has fabulous beaches but when we stayed in March the flags were up for no swimming as the waves were so big. This was not a problem for us as we did not want to swim particularly but people that want to snorkeor have young children that want to swim may be disappointed. Great to be close to Galle but be in a quieter location. Aboit 20 mins by car. Lots of little bars and places to eat along the beach. Beaches are quiet and less full of tourist than Galle. There are quite a few stray dogs (everywhere in Sri Lanka) which don't bother you but do be mindful that they may go to the toilet on the beach so watch where you tread!!!

The water temp was nice, waves for surfing & plenty of shops & restaurants to choose from. Close proximity to Galle by bus & snorkelling at ant of the beaches to see colourful fish + turtles.

I was away for 44 nights in the sun.

I was away for 44 nights in the sun. Swimming reading away from a cold winter. What else can you ask for. Got good food good people. Beautiful beaches, so many beautiful things to see. Fish everywhere, sharks ( baby ones) turtles. Elephants safari the place is awesome.

We had an amazing stay here, this family-run hotel offered warm hospitality, and made us feel right at home. The location is unbeatable—right on Narigama Beach (really close to Hikkaduwa Beach and not crowded), perfect for a peaceful getaway. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped with Wi-Fi and air conditioning. The breakfast was fresh and delicious, especially the Sri Lankan dishes, the owners went above and beyond to ensure I had a great stay, I’ll definitely be back for another stay!

The pearl Island beach hotel can definitely be recommended. Everything was very clean, extremely nice staff and our room was very large and well equipped. The restaurant in the hotel was also really great. We even had German bread from a nearby bakery for breakfast. The hotel is right on the beach with a very nice pool. We would definitely come back. The operators are very friendly and always on hand with help and advice.

Luxury boutique at its finest. It was absolutely incredible, the rooms, the view and the location for surfing, restaurants, sundowners, well, I don’t think you can beat it in hikkaduwa. Quite simply it felt like a home from home and the hotel feel was sensational. We loved Kiki the dog and overall, I would not recommend anywhere but the DORMERO hotel to anyone thinking of visiting hikkaduwa.
