The view onto the river is unbeatable and the apartment offers all equipment needed. The place was really clean and the surrounding is calm and relaxing. Also the communication with the host was always friendly and the owners were really helpful. We would definitely recommend this to anyone who is looking for a calm place to stay, but still close enough to explore Kandy.

We were a family of 6 adults and 2 children that booked three rooms at Bellwood. I had initially booked the hotel for the stunning views it offers, unfortunately we stayed during a cyclone. Despite this we had an amazing stay at Bellwood and it has become one of my personal favourite hotels of our stay. The hotel is beautiful with lovely large bedrooms and very comfortable beds. The staff were extremely fun and couldn’t have been more helpful. The hotel is a an extra journey from Kandy but worth the extra travel for its quiet picturesque location. The journey to and from the hotel adds to the experience of visiting Sri Lanka

The green Castle has one of the most beautiful views in the world and by far the best we saw in Sri Lanka. It is small family run business to a very high standards. Unfortunately we only had one night at the hotel. We were treated to the most amazing dinner which were superb. The food kept coming and to be honest we didn't do it justice. The room was amazing and beautiful decorated out. Breakfast was again equally delicious as dinner with more than enough food to feed and army. Greetings to the hotel was and experience - our guide was unsure our vehicle would manage the terrain so he contacted the hotel and Randika met us to ensure we were okay. I strongly recommended if you visit Sri Lanka and in the kandy area make a point of staying at this hotel - You won't be disappointed
