What you see on the pictures, is exactly what you get. We had different Sri Lanka dishes for breakfast every day. It tasted amazing We booked a safari through them and they treated us with different things to our safari. This is a place who is really worth your money.

Staying at the House of Freedom was a little adventure. the room is small but nice, Isubu is a great host (if you stay here, ask him what there is to do, he knows so much about the area and "has a guy" for almost anything) If you want a luxury stay and accomodation, you are at the wrong place. If you are fine with open air shower, basic toilet and no AC, this is a place for you. There are all kinds of animals around the house, apparently Elefants visit too. Isubu gave us a Bird-watching-walking tour in the morning before our departure which is truely the cherry on top of it all.

Ravindu has created the perfect place. The views over the lagoon from the private terrass, with all the birds, crocodiles, and occasional elephant, is already awesome. This place is on the edge of two connected nature reserves. You are in nature. Ravindu has an eye for details and you will notice inside and outside. The place is very complete and comfortable. The atmosphere and decoration are very pleasant. Above all, Ravindu is a kind, warm, welcoming person. Like the country really. I should not forget to mention that he is also a very good cook. Don't skip this place if you like nature and peace and quiet.

Our stay in the Lagoon Inn was wonderful. The Reviews telling about the great hospitality and the good (local) food are right. (Even our kids enjoyed it!). Both are found here at the Lagoon inn. The rooms were clean, cool and well maintained. And the location is stunning. Furthermore we were very pleased with the Safari that we booked here at the Lagoon inn. We recommend this Safari to all who come to Bundala. (https://bundala-national-park-safari-kamal.business.site/) We saw crocodiles, spotted deer, lizards, goanna, monkeys, waterbuffelo and many birds, (pelicans, hunting eagles, nest with young fish Eagle, painted Stork, Blue tailed bee eater, Kingfisher, etc...)
