A Peaceful Retreat in Nature – Highly Recommended! My girlfriend and I had an incredible stay at Elephant Fence Habarana Villa. The serene atmosphere and stunning natural surroundings made it the perfect getaway. The villa itself was clean, comfortable, and beautifully designed with thoughtful touches that made us feel at home. The staff were extremely friendly and went above and beyond to ensure our stay was enjoyable. They helped us plan activities in the area, and their knowledge of the local wildlife and culture was impressive. The location is ideal—close to the attractions of Habarana, yet peaceful and private. We loved waking up to the sounds of nature and enjoying our morning coffee on the terrace overlooking the lush greenery. If you’re looking for a relaxing and memorable escape, I can recommend this place.

a perfect, exceptional modern uniqe place where you can enjoy your vacation, a beautifully clean new house above ground with an open bathroom where you will experience the feeling of showering under a waterfall in the jungle, comfortable spacious beds, i had a best sleeping spacious rooms suitable for 4 people, they had a kettle with tea and coffee, a fridge, balconies on both floors, friendly approach of the owners and a great breakfast, I will definitely come back here again, you made my trip beautiful and I am grateful that I could stay here enjoy

The location is perfect for a relaxing stay thanks to the privacy, warm showers, comfortable beds and sounds of the jungle. The staff was also extremely professional and always in for a good chat. They give the option to have dinner or breakfast at the lodge or at the restaurant a bid further.

We stayed in the Hotel Sundown Lake for two nights and we absolutely loved it. The service is very personalized and the hosts are very lovely people. Also the location is really nice. The rooms are super clean and the bathroom is outstanding. We had a variety of home cooked meals every night - the best food we had on our Sri Lanka Trip. We can recommend this place to 100% and like to say thank you for the well hosts and this amazing Hotel.

I had a great stay here right on the edge of the National Park. The room was large and exceptionally clean and my lovely host gave me a in depth tour of the grounds explaining the uses and medicinal properties of all the plants there. The staff also made me meals with produce from the garden and catered for my Western tastes with well prepared meals. On learning of a problem with my foot I also received a massage using the products of the garden. I can’t recommend this place highly enough Greg The professor

I am in America. I only came to Habarana for one day, but because I got to stay in Habarana, I stayed in Habarana for two days. The best place I have stayed in Sri Lanka. Very free. Very honest. Best place to stay for a very friendly and fun family. I felt like I was in a castle. 🫶🏻

Sky Forest Lovely hotel in the forest, away from the noise of the highway. We had a lovely big room on stilts, overlooking the forest. Lots of birds, lots of privacy, super balcony to watch nature passing by. People are friendly, helpful and speak good English. The help in any way they can and organize walks in the vicinity. Meals are excellent.

Habarana is a small town located at a crossroads and a main road. It is therefore very accessible to other important cities, such as Polonnaruwa, Trincomalee, Dambulla, Anuradhapura, Sigiriya, etc. As well as to the natural parks, which are located nearby. Public transport is perfectly provided. The town has the necessary facilities such as shops, a bank, a post office, a doctor, etc. The beautiful surrounding nature, and easily accessible lakes, are also an advantage.

Farm Cottage was peaceful and very comfortable. The room was clean and cozy, and the surroundings were quiet and relaxing. The host was friendly and helpful. A perfect place to unwind – I’d definitely stay again!

Good location to visit the National parks where Elephants...

Good location to visit the National parks where Elephants roam. Take a short drive to Ritigala and be amazed at the heritage site of a millenia old large forest monastery. Dine at the Ran Rasa restaurant for one of the best Chicken Koththus you will taste..

Beautiful jungle surrounds. Lots of activities. Safari doesn't tell you about all the extra costs involved. Entry fee big. Tip for animal spotter. The Harabana lake cruise is brilliant. No motor just a gentle paddle, allowing you get up close to wildlife

There are loads to do in Habarana.

There are loads to do in Habarana. Nice places to eat and drink. One unexpected pleasure was the village safari. You go for a ride on a old tractor, then a lovely boat ride across the lake. You are then shown the old traditional way of preparing and make food. Also shown other local crafts.

Levona is run by the sweetest family and the two brothers go above and beyond to help you during your stay. We trust them with the organization of our tours during our stay in Habarana and enjoyed them all. Rooms are spotless, garden with pool is a small heaven, and your kids will make friendship with Rexi the dog! Try out mama’s dinner with rice curry and local delicacies and you won’t regret! In the middle of the jungle but just a short stroll to the main road with plenty of restaurants to choose from

We stayed 3 nights at Mutu village and had an amazing time. Apart from the hotel being super relaxing, it was the stuff around the host Sami that made for a perfect stay. He gave valuable tips for exploring the surrounding area, organized transportation, helped to purchase cricket tickets, scooters and so on. Even the food was great, better than some top rated restaurants around Habarana. All in all, definitely recommend to stay at Mutu village. If we came back to Sri Lanka, we’d definitely return here.

What an adventure to spend a couple of days in the Tree House! The kids enjoyed a lot. Breakfast and Dinner - top level of home cooked Sri Lankan cuisine. The host also prepared a birthday cake - Thank you guys! The hotel is well positioned to explore Sigiriya, Polonnaruwa and Mineriya park.
