The hotel is amazing, the decoration,, pool, and the staff if so friendly, installations are perfect, seeing monkeys playing in the trees across the road, the breakfast is divine! Especially the fruit juices and the yogurt with muesli etc. Also have a very good value laundry service. Location is great, a little out of town but only 5 minutes in tuktuk to the ford. We did the early morning boat tour as well 100% recommended !

My stay at Sea Star Boutique Hotel was absolutely wonderful! From the moment I arrived, I was warmly welcomed by the incredibly friendly and attentive staff. A special mention goes to the manager, Asela, who is exceptionally professional, kind, and highly efficient. This is the place where you want to stay while visiting Sri Lanka. You spending your holiday in the history of this country. A spice traders house built in 1860 and completely renovated recently with lots of taste. The rooms, the living and dining areas, garden with the pool, everything is so beautiful and it feels it’s your own private home. Also breakfast and dinner was amazing and very tasty. The manager and all the staff are extremely helpful and super friendly. As it’s just a bit outside of Galle Fort, it’s super calm. But only a short stroll to reach the harbour with the local fisherman and the old town by foot. If not, a Tuk Tuk ride takes 5 minutes. Everything was just perfect.

Beautiful hotel interior. All staff are very friendly and always smiling. It was nice that there was beach access. The attentiveness of the staff is what really made it stand out like contacting us before we arrived to ensure we were all set and they helped organise our activities.
