The room was spacious and comfortable, with a clean bed sheet, blanket, and a cozy bed that made for a good night’s rest. The bathroom was large with good water pressure, two mirrors, and even a small cube of soap provided. I also liked the thoughtful touches such as the wooden towel hanger and standing fan. Right outside the room, there’s a dining table overlooking the owner’s beautifully maintained garden, a perfect spot to enjoy the peaceful greenery. Dinner prepared by the owners (upon request) was delicious and felt home-cooked with care. Mr. Chaluka and his wife are genuinely kind and helpful hosts who go above and beyond to make guests feel comfortable. They also offer safari tours at reasonable prices, and for those interested in authentic Ayurveda treatments or spa sessions, Mr. Chaluka can also help arrange great options.

The location is safe, and very calm. This is a little piece of paradise in the middle of Dambulla, very well located and near to the Golden temple. The owner is soooo nice, his family is lovely, her wife is a real chef: we had breakfasts and dinner and everything was delicious. Rooms are spacious, with balcony and A/C. Nice rooftop also.
