The view from the room is really so unique and refresh everyday , the breakfast is so delicious , perfect breakfast, we could use the kitchen of the hôtel to cook our food , so nice and healthy environnement. Mr Chaminda (owner of the hôtel) he is à great man and always available for everything , he is the most strong point of this hôtel, we will come back again, is highly recommanded and high quality of price , we liked everything.

If you are looking for the perfect place in Ella to relax, stop looking you’ve found the right hotel. The staff was a real bonus, they are always trying their best to make you feel at home. Regarding the room itself, it’s quite spacious, very clean & the bed will offer you the best sleep. The cubes are truly the highlight of our trip around Sri Lanka. We initially booked one night but came back for 3 more nights. There is a room service and laundry can be done too. Special thanks to Eprival 🙏🏻

Amzing view - extra-ordinary clean. Can compege with 4 Star hotels. Special place for railway enthusiasts and trainspotting, as this is the only location where you can get pictures of the nine Arch Bridge without any tourists - early in the morning.

Cannot recommend this place highly enough. Obey and his team went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and welcomed. The location is perfect - a short walk from the Main Street (but still quiet at night) and also within walking distance to Little Adam’s Peak and Nine Arches Bridge. Obey helpfully arranged transport for us to see the sights (for reasonable prices) and had great advice on where to go. We had the best breakfast so far in Sri Lanka at Obey’s - definitely try their Sri Lankan breakfast. So filling! An added bonus is that they have a laundry service which is quick, very good and reasonably priced. The rooms are clean and comfortable - with air conditioning, a fan, hair dryer, and complimentary fruit basket.

We highly recommend this place, absolutely beautiful views, 7 min walking from restaurants, clean and spacious room and one of the best breakfast we had in Sri Lanka. The night that we arrived to Ella the guy who runs the place, came to pick up us for free, he was super helpful giving us tips and advice about what and when to see places. We asked a couple of time just for hot water to prepare te and both times they give us a big pot of tea with cookies and some fruits for free. Really lovely family, we will come back for sure!

Beautiful hotel. The rooms are spacious, well-kept, and clean. Each room has an amazing view of the greenery. Very kind and helpful staff. They really take care of their guests. I stayed there with a friend and we felt well looked after. The staff help with arranging transport to the places you want to visit. You can definitely relax at this property. We would be happy to come back again.

Ella has an amazing vibe, it’s a very tourist-friendly place and a perfect base for daily hiking trips. It’s very different from other Sri Lankan cities and definitely worth a visit. But if you’re looking for some peace and quiet, choose accommodation slightly outside the center to avoid the noise

On the one hand Ella is really beautiful.

On the one hand Ella is really beautiful. Great views nice waterfalls, great hiking spots. On the other hand it is packed with tourists. You have to go out of the city quite far do find a more quiet area. Ella itself is quite small since there’s only one “big” road. For us it was way too crowded. It’s not the cute little local mountain village it used to be.

Stayed for 2 nights.

Stayed for 2 nights. Found it a bit crowded & it rained on both days. Chill Cafe is a great place to hangout & Somasiri is where you can get your essentials. 9 Arches bridge is...well, just a bridge but Ella has cute little train station and breathtaking views on the train ride down to Kandy.

It's a very nice, small town packed with restaurants and bars. The town centre may lack a bit of authenticity being on european side with trendy cafes and night clubs. Great for a short stay. Many activities around: Ella rock, Little Adam's peak, nine arch brige, waterfalls, tea plantations, Mahamevnara monastery, Many places ofering ayurvedic massage.

Ella is a great stop if you are heading from Nuwara Eliya to...

Ella is a great stop if you are heading from Nuwara Eliya to the south. It's mostly a tourist town, not that big. But the town is very organized and picturesque. The Ravana waterfalls is surely going to mesmerize you. And, if you are into hiking, this is a place you must include in your itinerary.

The view is stunning. It is a tree top height and overlooks Ella Rock. The staff are just delightful and couldn't have been more helpful. Location wise it's very easy to get to the centre of Ella without using a tuk tuk, especially if you turn left out of the hotel and walk a short distance along the railway track, which is perfectly normal. Our room was well equipped, if not particularly large but we really like the addition of a hammock on our balcony. The breakfast buffet was excellent, with made to order food available.

Lovely hotel. Staff were so lovely and welcoming and made us feel so special. They were so lovely with my son. Room was clean and comfortable, with incredible views overlooking Ella’s rock and Little Adam’s Peak. Food was really good too, we had dinner and breakfast and everything was cooked fresh for us by the lovely chefs. Perfect location for exploring Ella! We chose to get tuktuks as didn’t want to walk up the hill but they are super cheap. Ella has so much to offer, I wish we had longer. Would definitely recommend.

98 Acres Resort is located in an idyllic setting amongst the lush mountainous region of Ella. The view from our villa, and especially from reception, is spectacular. When we checked into the hotel, there was a lovely Hindu welcome ceremony. The villa itself was quite comfortable but I would not say that it was luxurious. Even though 98 Acres Resort is set in a fairly remote region, our villa had no problem with hot water or the shower’s water pressure. Breakfast was good with ample offerings.

Hotel Levon is about 10 minutes by tuk tuk from the centre of Ella in a beautiful location overlooking the hills and train line below. It is an easy 30 minute walk back into Ella along the train line. The staff are so friendly and welcoming and cooked up truely amazing breakfasts. Highly recommend a stay here. Communication was also tops!

Incredible view from this lovely boutique hotel on top of a large hill. It feels like being in a luxury large treehouse. The service was excellent and went above and beyond to give us a great experience! Nice touch was getting breakfast served on our private balcony.
