Hemantha, the owner and manager of hotel and his son Dulana have built a truly beautiful pearl in the middle of the rainforest. With excellent English, they took care of us and fulfilled all our wishes. This is our fifth time in Sri Lanka, but we visited Kitulgala for the first time during our travels and I can recommend this area to everyone to visit. Waterfalls in the middle of the forest and rafting on the river are among the great experiences that this hotel offers you at a very fair price. And then you can let yourself be pampered in the comfort of the hotel with great food and enjoy a bath in the beautiful natural pool or right in the small clean river that flows around the hotel. This is easily one of the most beautiful boutique hotels I've stayed at. Recently renovated, no expense has been spared to bring the Colonial mansion back to life. The attention to detail is remarkable. All the services are extraordinary and if I ever have a special occasion in Sri Lanka it will be at the Grand Walawwa.

Rosyth Estate is a wonderful little hotel in the middle of nowhere. The team was extremely welcoming and did go above and beyond, even though we only stayed there for one night. Special kudos to the best chicken curry we had ever!
