The staff was very friendly and helped us to book a taxi to Sigiriya without any hassle. The rooms are well equipped and very clean. Best shower that we had during our 4 months journey through India and Sri Lanka! And the towels smell soo good. The location of the hotel couldnt be better: close to the beach and restaurants but far away enough to not be disturbed by the railway noise.

I recently arranged accommodation for my manager’s business trip, and I couldn’t be more satisfied with the experience. When he found out that his usual taxi driver wasn’t available on the day of arrival, he personally went to the airport to pick up my manager. This level of care and commitment is rare to find and made all the difference in ensuring a smooth and stress-free experience. Beyond the exceptional hospitality, the accommodation itself is in a fantastic location—just a few minutes walk from a beautiful beach, making it ideal for anyone who wants to enjoy both business and relaxation. I highly recommend this accommodation not only for its comfort but especially for the incredible service provided by the owner. It’s a newly opened place. Nice pool and clean rooms. Staff were great. Especially Shafraz & the guy with glasses who was very helpful and always smiling and greeting. Overall good experience and good value for money. Close to the beach.

Grand tasteful accommodation in the heart of Colombo but perfectly quiet and peaceful, where the sound of traffic is non existent and replaced by bird song. Huge rooms, great pool, terrific food. A big thanks to Christoph, Chamara and all the staff, (even the pool attendant) for such great smiles, and friendly and courteous service.

Despite some misunderstandings caused by credit card charges through the bank, the hotel manager, Mr. Kariyawasam remained professional and kind in handling the situation. The staff were also very friendly, and the facilities were modern and well-maintained. Overall, if I were to recommend a place to stay in the area, Viluxey City Hotel would undoubtedly be my top choice.

We absolutely loved our stay at 50 By The Sea — the ocean view was nothing short of spectacular! 🌊✨ I could’ve easily stayed in bed all day just soaking in the peaceful sea view right from our room. The property felt like a hidden gem — private, secure, and so serene. We really appreciated the strict security and privacy; it made us feel safe and completely at ease throughout our stay. Although it’s located slightly away from the city centre, it wasn’t a problem at all — getting around was super easy (and affordable!) with TukTuk via PickMe. If we ever come back to Colombo, we’d still stay here again in a heartbeat. 🩵
