Very nice spot to disconnect from the sri lankan chaos :) the beach beside is beautiful, and wild (careful in the sea since there are strong currents). The facilities are very well thought of, nice to connect with other travellers in a relaxed environment.

We loved everything here. Very charming property by the beach with really beautiful furnitures and very comfortable. The staff is amazing, they are caring, they do everything for you to feel good and have the best experience. They spot every detail for you. The chef deserves a micheline star. The food experience was delicious. It is the perfect place to recharge. Thank you to the staff of kalkudah beach house for making this place a wonderful moment for us.

Resort was directly on the lagoon,and there was a beautiful cool breeze through the hot time of the day. Anything I needed was provided....I just asked. I was even able to use the fridge. Rooms are spacious and super clean.Resort is super safe and monitored by security cameras . I slept really well,there was no noise to disturb me. I highly recommend this property. It's fantastic value. Fishing and boating is possible also.

The room is spacious, the bed is so big, the bathroom is clean and the shower is hot. The garden is quite and it's the perfect place to have breakfast. The breakfast is generous: fruits, tea and 2 big pancakes with coconut, bananas and trickle. Ashok is kind and welcome you warmly. Don't hesitate to ask for help if you need to reach another place after your stay in Pasikudah.

We loved our stay at Adi's Residence. The accomodation is spacious, wel equiped and clean. But most of all we loved the hospitality of mr Ramanathan and mrs Kamalabigaj. They were the friendliest people we met in Sri Lanka (and we met a lot of friendly people).

Batticaloa is very good city, peaceful, less traffic, sort of more rural touch as compared to Colombo. People are also very cooperative and helpful in all ways. Its a small town. The beach is also very neat and clean. There are many local restaurants and hotel. We can find good food there.

Batticaloa was warm and humid, but that is more than made up...

Batticaloa was warm and humid, but that is more than made up for by its breathtaking beauty and abundant seafood. The town is exceptionally clean, surrounded by water, and radiates a serene charm. Pasikudah, in particular, took our breath away. With its pristine beaches and tranquil waters, it’s nothing short of amazing—a true gem on the eastern coast.

RoaBaa is a lovely place to stay. Tucked away from the main road, it’s perfect place to escape the hustle and bustle of Batticaloa. Nava, the owner, is one of the loveliest people we’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting. Not only was he unbelievably welcoming but he helped us so much when our train got cancelled because of flooding. He sorted us out with a driver and some fruit for our journey. We are so grateful to him for being so kind and helpful, we would have been lost without him! Would strongly recommend staying here.

Wonderful stay – highly recommended ! We spent just one night at Coastal Villa, and it was perfect. Within ten minutes of our arrival, Anurahavan had arranged a boat tour of the lagoon and city – a fantastic experience ! The rooms are very comfortable, and the welcome from Anurahavan and his family was incredibly warm. If you’re passing through Batticaloa, don’t hesitate to book here – you’ll be in great hands !

We had a nice stay, the room was comfortable, the house was lovely, our hosts were very hospitable and helpful, we chose to eat at the house and had the crab curry and had a lot of fun watching the cooking with Malar and Ranjan. We only had one night in Batticaloa but enjoyed exploring the market, the temples, the fort and this was a great base to do it.

Good location to the city. Have to say the manager and the staff are quick to respond to issues and resolve them quickly. They are super friendly and approachable. They try to do their best to make your stay comfortable. But the hotel need serious investment to refurbish and re decorate, it has true potential to be a luxury hotel in Batticaloa.
