We had the opportunity to stay for one night. It is a very nice and beautiful place. It is a good place to sleep in peace and quiet. We recommend it. The beach is very close. We can walk to the beach. The food there was amazing. There was a person who cooked for us. It was very delicious. We liked it so much that we asked him to cook for us the next morning. He also cooked with satisfaction. We recommend you to go there once and spend your night.

Beautiful new boutique hotel on the very quiet Kalkudah Beach. A beautiful setting with gorgeous garden and sea views from every room. Spacious accommodation including a large room and bathroom, and many communal sitting areas. Each room also includes a private terrace or veranda with comfortable furniture. The staff were wonderfully attentive and friendly. The food was excellent, with a special mention to the chef Manoj who created beautifully presented, freshly cooked and most importantly delicious food. He catered each meal to our specific requests and dietary needs. It is a wonderful property to stay and relax. It’s worth noting that there’s nothing to walk out to and the town is a bit of a distance, but you will have a lovely time staying and relaxing at this hotel. The beach itself is stunning, the water is calm, clean and warm and its is fringed by palms. Paradise

Here for 3 nights but loved it so much, we came back for another 3! Beautiful location by the lagoon. Excellent restaurant with friendly, professional staff and tasty food of good sized portions. Recommend the chicken biriyani! The pool was great and kept our kids entertained for hours. Overall just great customer care especially by Adhil the Resort Manager who did everything possible to make our stay enjoyable. So if you need a relaxing break, highly recommend Rivera Resort!! 👌

Resort was directly on the lagoon,and there was a beautiful cool breeze through the hot time of the day. Anything I needed was provided....I just asked. I was even able to use the fridge. Rooms are spacious and super clean.Resort is super safe and monitored by security cameras . I slept really well,there was no noise to disturb me. I highly recommend this property. It's fantastic value. Fishing and boating is possible also.

Excellent apartment. Spacious two bedroom apartment that was spotless. The hosts went out of there way to be of assistance. Would highly recommend due to the location to the beach and restaurants. We did have an issue with the air conditioning and a servicemen arrived within hours to repair

The host treated us as if we were guests of the grand hotel. I felt as if I had a personal concierge. There was contact with the owner all the time via WhatsApp. He showed interest in whether everything was ok. There is the option to buy very tasty food - no point in eating out - at our host's the breakfasts and lunches were phenomenal and all on site and at the hour we wanted. Sensational avocado cocktail - the best drink I had in Sri Lanka. The host helped us with finding transport to the beach. I had a need to go to the hairdresser and our host organised a haircut for me - he then drove me over and acted as a translator between me and the hairdresser. And then he drove me back to my accommodation by motorbike. In addition, he constantly showed interest in whether we needed anything. He was a great inroller regarding Sri Lanka. The rooms were very clean, air conditioning in each bedroom. A comfortable sofa in the living room. Garden at your disposal. If you are passing through in Batticaloa and need accommodation I would confidently recommend this place and the host. My sincere and warm greetings to him.

Batticaloa is very good city, peaceful, less traffic, sort of more rural touch as compared to Colombo. People are also very cooperative and helpful in all ways. Its a small town. The beach is also very neat and clean. There are many local restaurants and hotel. We can find good food there.

Batticaloa was warm and humid, but that is more than made up for by its breathtaking beauty and abundant seafood. The town is exceptionally clean, surrounded by water, and radiates a serene charm. Pasikudah, in particular, took our breath away. With its pristine beaches and tranquil waters, it’s nothing short of amazing—a true gem on the eastern coast.

This was the best homestay we had during our trip to Batticaloa, Sri Lanka. Everything was perfect, including breakfast, lunch, and supper. The sleeping bed was so luxurious, and the bathroom was spotless. We would definitely recommend this outstanding place for everyone going to Coastal Villa, Kallady - Batticaloa. The Host Joel and Mama chef Suzan and Jutha were very kind to us, arranging tuk tuk for Passikudha and Arugambai.

Good location to the city. Have to say the manager and the staff are quick to respond to issues and resolve them quickly. They are super friendly and approachable. They try to do their best to make your stay comfortable. But the hotel need serious investment to refurbish and re decorate, it has true potential to be a luxury hotel in Batticaloa.
