Our experience was wonderful at this family hotel. They made us feel at home, were super attentive, Chamod is a 10 uncle, helped us in many things and got us everything we asked for nothing in return something not so usual. The mother cooks very well, she prepared us a delicious breakfast. The room was clean and cozy. A 10 for family and place, very recommendable.

I liked everything about the place! The location directly at the beach was perfect. A really nice beach; beautiful water, white sand and not even crowded. The food in the hotel was really good too, both breakfast, lunch and dinner. The rooms were clean and had an ac. And best of all were the host, so nice people. They would bring everything we needed right away and were friendly all the time. All in all we had a great time at sea crest hotel and I would definitely recommend it!

We were the very first guests to stay at this newly opened hotel, and everything was absolutely perfect! The rooms are spacious, clean, and beautifully designed. The bathroom is large and well-equipped with modern facilities. One of the best features of this hotel is the stunning rooftop — it offers an incredible view of the beach and the sunset. The location is also ideal, with many restaurants, cafés, sightseeing spots, and Galle city all nearby and easy to reach. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, always ready to assist with a smile. A special thanks to the owner, Ranju, who made our stay comfortable and truly memorable. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable stay near the beach.

Host (Manager and Owner) was exceptional. He responded to messages within minutes and went out of his way to make our stay enjoyable. Villa was extremely large, modern and spotlessly clean. All equipment worked, we had access to the kitchen and also a washing machine. There were drinks and snacks in the fridge, tea and coffee available and even laundry powder for the washing machine. The host is a professional chef and went out of his way to provide top class meals. The three course dinner for USD $7.00 was excellent.

A little town which is friendly colourful with plenty of shops for anything you need …only issue is that like every town in Sri Lanka there is a problem with waste ( plastic bottles) There are several resteraunts and lots of lovely cake shops :-) Everything is very cheap ..food , tuk tuk , train ..and clothes are an outstanding bargain to any visitor Overall a lovely place for great holiday

Everything we needed was found in this small but busy town, just north of Galle it's easily reached from Columbo or the airport using the highway. Mask carving is a big deal in Ambalangoda, there are quite a few shops and museums and having a tour in a museum was ideal to find out what the different types of mask are about.

Compared to Hikkaduwa, Ambalangoda is smaller, has fewer tourists, felt more authentic. Easy to move around in a TukTuk. We mostly dined at Villa La Kurmba, great food! Also, make sure not miss Wallama Villa & Beach Restaurant - a true and hidden gem, ideal for a peaceful evening with unforgettable food.

Silver Sands Beach near Ambalangoda is a great spot if you prefer a quieter, less touristy beach area. Only a 2 hour drive from Colombo. We loved the beachfront location, clean simple rooms, and the amazing helpful host. The joggingpath nearby was also an added benefit. Breakfast was served on the terrace in the morning, and they even helped us book the Madu River tour before arrival. If you are looking for a simple, relaxing stay at a very reasonable price, don't hesitate to book a room at Silver Sands Beach.

Our stay was absolutely amazing. great first stop in Sri Lanka. doubting if something will top this. the view is stunning, people are so nice, speak good English and provide all the service you need. the apartment looks in our view better than on the pictures, authentic and spacious. we stay with our child of almost 2, great place for such a journey as well.

Great location. Away from hustle and bustle of beaches around. Great for those who like peaceful accomodation. Amazing river view from rooms and garden. Janaka the host was very welcoming. Madu ganga river safari is just 5 mins away from there. Rooms are super clean. Would have given 10 out of 10, but there was no hot water available for bath, hence 9

Huge room with balcony, beach view, beautiful garden. The pool was also great. The bed was comfortable. The staff is very nice and supportive, they speak English. The mask museum just 10 mins walk.
