Everything was perfect! The resort is new, the decoration is very modern and meets the relaxing young vibe. When we arrived they showed us to our room and offered a group dinner with the rest of the guests that was really delicious. The hotel is full of young people ready to share some hints with you as well as their experience. Definitely out favorite hotel in Sri Lanka and a must to stay in when you come down south.

Round house is the most amazing place! Starting from architecture which is very unique and with only four rooms offers high privacy. Rooms are specious and every detail is taken care of. The staff and food are amazing! One of the best food in Sri Lanka. It’s a great value for money and I highly recommend going there!

Our stay at Harding hotel was the most enjoyable stay during our trip in Sri Lanka. Not only did it meet the expectations of the price in terms of the room standard, the hotel in general, location etc, but the staff was the best we ever could have hoped for. They paid such attention to details, made their service very personal (knowing what we normally had for coffee orders, drink orders etc) and they did some sweet romantic set up for us to have breakfast and candlelit dinners on the beach. Biggest thank you to the staff overall for being amazing but extra thank you to Eranga, Pramith and Hasindu. Already excited to come back.

Kamal is a lovely host, and really goest the extra mile to make the stay comfortable. He even drove my luggage to the next hotel in his tuk tuk! The room is comfy and clean, and the breakfast is very tasty. They are wonderful hosts!

Ahangama is so peaceful - it's slightly away from the busier areas around the coast. The restaurants around are in great locations, and all very calm with great vibes. It's also very easy and quick to get to neighbouring towns to visit sites, or restaurants in those locations as well.

I really loved how cozy and clean the hostel was — it felt like home! The staff and owner were super friendly and helpful. The only small thing is that it can get a bit quiet at night, but overall it’s a perfect place to relax.

We actually stayed in Kabalana which is just 25 min walk or...

We actually stayed in Kabalana which is just 25 min walk or 5 min tuk tuk drive from Ahangama. It was the right decision as Ahangama was twice as busy and Kabalana beach was way better. Restaurants near us were really nice too and with the most famous night club in Sri Lanka called Trax round the corner!

Ahangama is great for surfing, restaurants and social life!

Ahangama is great for surfing, restaurants and social life! There are some weekly parties in town and a lot of solo travellers which can be met on social hostels, all around the town and at the beach. Loved Ahangama and it gave me very homey feeling, came back after seen the island a bit more!

We stayed 10 nights and we really enjoyed everything to the fullest. This hotel is a very cozy, beautiful and homely vibe place to spend your holiday in Sri Lanka. The location is just perfect, opposite of Kabalana beach. The food is very delicious, every dish was prepared with love by Chef Bandu. The owner Ara and his team were amazing. You can rent a motorcycle, just ask the team, they ll arrange everything for you. Thank you Soul Inn Team, we will definitely come back.

Staying here at the Mangroves homestay has been amazing. We originally booked one night but extended to the end of our trip as staying here has been such a pleasure. The Hosts and the family are so kind and welcoming, helping with anything you can need. They're always here when you need them. A great location and set off the main road with a shortcut across the train tracks to the surf spot. It's so peaceful here and would love to stay again if we're ever in Sri Lanka.

Pros: - Close to Kabalana Beach with lots of surfing schools nearby. - The room was spacious, bright, ascetic yet atmospheric, reflecting the spirit of Sri Lanka vibes. - Hot water was always available. - The air conditioner and ceiling fan were powerful. - The owner was friendly and Russian spoken. - Guarded closed perimeter. - The room windows overlook a quiet, green courtyard. - The area are protected against insects.

Very friendly family. They gave me a free upgrade because the smaller room I'd booked was not available. Good location only some metres from the beach. To the surf rentals it's a 10 min walk. I didn't feel disturbed by the train, even thought it's cool somehow 🙂 The best breakfast I had in 4 weeks Sri Lanka! Go for the more expensive room, it's worth the few rupia more.
