We had a lovely time on Don Det and loved our accommodation- very comfortable, clean and convenient. Lots of hot water, balcony overlooking the Mekong and aircon. The owner was super kind and let us check in early as we had had a very long bike ride to get there - we were very grateful. We also used the laundry service and restaurant and booked a sunset cruise.

This was the best stay I’ve had while traveling down through Laos from Luang Prabang. Totally recommend it to everyone! Alex and Leymon are super friendly. they even helped arrange a ride to Don Det and were quick to reply to messages before I arrived. Especially, Leymon’s Asian food was amazing, honestly as good as what I’ve had in the actual countries. Can’t wait to try it again! Between meals we played cards, chatted, and hung out with their dogs and cats—such a chill vibe. The room was clean and comfy, with a soft bed, towels, and shampoo. The shower has an open ceiling, so you might notice it when it rains, but it didn’t bother me at all. Loved the whole experience!

Brand new place with a perfect view, red sunsets over Mekong. Very clean and comfortable room. Restaurants serving good food nearby. Walking distanse to the port. The owner was very sweet and helpful. I missed a small refrigerator (minibar) for drinks and more hooks for hanging clothes. The don't accept cards, cash only! There is no ATM at Don Det.
