Czech RepublicThe most professional service we've encountered on our Laos travels. On arrival, we got a lift by the owner from the boat to guesthouse and received a warm welcome. The room was just spectacular - grand view of Mekong from the balcony (sunrise over the river definitely worth waking up a little earlier!), large bed and bathroom and the best toilet we've encountered in all Laos. The guesthouse has a restaurant serving delicious Lao, Asian and Western meals and staff was very helpfull and friendly. In addition, the town of Champassak is so nice, clean and green - a pleasant change after Vientiane, Pakse etc. If you're visiting this area, Nakorn Guesthouse is highly recommended!

I was in Champassak during the Wat Phou Festival which was...
I was in Champassak during the Wat Phou Festival which was great and interesting and then returned for one night after being in the 4000 Islands before heading north. The Temple are marvellous and would like to see it without all the tourists and festival goers but I enjoyed the festival particularly the opening and the Alms Ceremony for the monks.
We went down the Wat Oum Tomo by a small private boat - a 2 hour trip each way around the island, but it was well worth it.
Champassak is peaceful and encourages relaxation although I found bicycling in the rice paddies gave me insight into country life.
My most vivid memory is sitting by the Mekong and watching the most beautiful sunrises I have ever seen over a river that was as still as glass.

The roads in Champasak are very bad with massive pot holes, I recommend to hire a 4wd. Pakse has lots of markets to look at and there are some beautiful waterfall to look at just 1-2 hours drive. The Mekong river is amazing to look at also. I highly recommend going to the Vat Phou.

The property is excellent.
It’s a very friendly place, and all team members are in the Residence to assist you if needed. They try to do their best always. The kindness of local people and the foreign Chef is highly appreciated.
Bedrooms are comfortable, extremely clean and well-maintained; restaurant and rooms are decorated in nice way.
The sala along the Mekong offers you the opportunity to enjoy the calm of the area and the relaxing view of the scenery.
The food is very good also and gives you a taste of happiness.

The Location of La Folie Lodge is breathtaking! The Mekong view, the sunsets, the gardens magical. However, equally wonderful was the fabulous Aum, who greeted us and helped organise our activities in Champasak. Her English was fabulous and she was so proactive, smart and hospitable! She gave us a bicycle torch in the evening, organised our bicycles on the boat to cycle to Wat Phu for the most perfect day of our holiday. If you are planing a Champasak vacation, Aum at La Folie is the lady to make holiday dreams come true!

Perfect stay! Arriving at The Riviera Champasak Mr. Phouds smile made us feel immediately welcome! All the staff are very nice and helpful. The room is spacious, very comfortable, super clean with an amazing view on the Mekong river! Bathroom with seperate toilet and seperate shower. Good restaurant. Nice pool. Great rate for what you get. Thank you to the whole staff for making our stay memorable! ❤

This hotel is one of the finest hotels in Lao PDR. Located in beautifully kept gardens on the banks of the Mekong. Two beautiful swimming pools, comfortable rooms (beautiufully designed) and a good internet service. Breakfast is a feast and at lunchtime or in the evening you can eat overlooking the Mekong. So beautiful and relaxing! Finally a word about the staff - friendly and helpful - thank you!

very good location, room #2 has great river view, room #6 has river and temple view, very nice. One, the owner is super nice and the food excellent. no better place to be in Champasak.
