Everything! The people are so lovely, can’t do enough for you. The food was good at breakfast too. Right on the river which is stunning. We were so sorry to leave today.

Ock Pop Tok's Mekong Villa is the place I go to relax, enjoy a beautiful setting and excellent food, and be reminded of the cultural traditions that make Laos special. Each room is unique, the beds are super comfy, great showers, quiet and peaceful space, and delicious food. Sengchan and her amazing staff attend to all the little details to make their guests feel right at home. The place feels worlds away from the busyness of town, but is just a short tuk-tuk or bike ride to reach all of the activity in central Luang Prabang. This place is a gem.

I felt at home from the moments I stepped in the Garden House! Immaculate clean apartment, very large space. The hostess is the warmest person I have met in the whole SE Asia. She has hired very service minded staff and they are always ready to help. I got so much better service than if I had checked in a regular hotel. We really appreciate we were assigned a ground floor apartment so my husband didn’t have to climb many stairs with his bad knees. We also have been served the best breakfast we have had in whole Laos. Delicious and always freshly made. Homemade jams and homemade soy milk! We couldn’t ask for more. Definitely a place to recommend to everyone I know. P.S. you are welcome to pick fruits and veggies from the garden - it is a lovely thing we were allowed to do.

The best service that you can imagine in a Luang Prabang hotel. Pinky has helped us with suggesting activities and organising them, and at a competitive rate. The hotel shuttle was flexible around our schedules and was more than enough to compensate the location of the hotel that is slightly further from the city centre.

Hotel is wonderful! Many compliments to the landascapers and designers because i've never seen anything like that. The pool areas and amazing and to overlook the rice fields is a real wonderful experience. The room was awesome, so big, a huge bathroom, all the amenities.

Holger and Mr Kahn prove that staying in Laos doesn't have to mean compromises. Everything works (or, if it doesn't, it gets fixed). Really good food. We stayed just three nights, and all of us wished it could have been longer.

The whole experience of staying at Naga lodge was amazing. I stayed two nights and you definitely need at least two nights to take in this experience. That experience was made my Frederic and Onh who are the owners and managers, and all of the staff. Their spirit is in this place and I immediately felt like family. They were so careful and attentive to all the small details which make a trip so memorable. The breakfast choice was fantastic including homemade ginger bread and organic homemade jams plus a whole range of other items. Both Frederic and On are excellent cooks so there is a wide range of extremely tasty western and Asian style food, and as a vegetarian they went out of their way to make me some very special dishes. A good selection of wine and quality cocktails and Laos expresso coffee are also available. The bungalows are really well made and very clean and comfortable, with mosquito nets and electric fans to keep cool if it's hot. Comfortable chairs to sit on the balcony of the bungalow and just watch the world go by. And the view of this valley is magical. I could sit all day and watch the clouds and weather change. They have mountain bikes to rent to explore the area and it's very easy to walk and enjoy a very untouched part of village life in Laos. A very moving and memorable visit that I will not forget. A huge thank you to all there for being part of my journey.
