Along the Mekong river, this hotel has all different little buildings circling a beautiful garden, but the origin of the buildings is the most interesting. The owner relocated original, wooden buildings from around Laos to the property, so nothing you see is the same, and every room is different. What you get is a totally unique experience and that experience is very comfortable, quiet, amazing - while also feeling out in the country-side. Good for people who are not too particular about smooth luxury, and who are in need of beautiful surroundings. The bed was great, and the room had a homely feel with the convenience of a good bathroom and mine had a kitchenette. The staff was beyond good, and everyone there was ready for a chat if you wanted so. The breakfast was the best I had in Luang Prabang, and the little bar being open while the sun sets gives everything a feel of a relaxed holiday. The resort (no pool) is next to a small temple, and there is a shuttle bus taking you back to town (5 mins) to go to the nightmarket. Walking to the market was about 25 mins. The hotel also organised a Waterfall and a Mekong river cruise for me, which were very good.

We loved this place! It was the perfect oasis in Luang Prabang. But the Garden House is not only a place to stay to explore the city & its surroundings, it’s a destination in itself. It’s a wonderful experience to take part of this inspired project. The breakfast room windows capture the misty morning mountains like a painting. The generous outdoor kitchen allowed us to experiment with Lao cooking. Incredibly, we could add the organic produce from the garden to our plates. The lovely host even offered a papaya directly from the tree to my mother - this is the kind of moments you cherish forever… The list of things to adore here is endless - thank you so much for creating this place & giving us such a warm welcome! Extra thanks for helping us (super efficiently on WhatsApp) with everything from charcoal to the barbecue to sticky rice steamer to transport.

Nice old style colonial hotel. A wee bit out of the way, but they provide a free shuttle service into town, the staff were excellent, they couldn’t do enough for you.Hotel wasn’t new, but kept very clean. Nice and quiet location with little garden to the rear of the hotel.

It is an amazing place. Nestled up in the hills above Luang Prabang, surrounded by trees. A quiet place with a swimming pool, a sauna, and a garden. The rooms are nicely located in the garden. It has a restaurant on site that offers good meals. It is highly recommended, especially if you are booking a few days in the area.

The cabins are set in beautiful gardens with an amazing view of the mountains. Breakfast was very nice with croissants and homemade jam. We enjoyed walking to the Nahm Dong park from the accommodation and spending time in the peaceful surroundings. We ended up extending our stay and wish we could have stayed longer.

The Grand is the most beautiful and grand hotel in Luang Prabang. We enjoyed it even more than the Amantaka. The hotel is on the edge of a cliff overlooking the Mekong, thus the view is spectacular. It might not have the convenience of hotels in the center of the town, but it has a sense of privacy and grandness that is simply unbeatable. The entire property was so beautiful, enchanted with historical and architectural charm. Being in the hotel is like entering a time warp. The pool by the lawn is a gleaming jewel. As for the distance to town, it's a 10-minute tuck tuck ride, which isn't bad at all. We can't wait to go back to stay there again!
