We loved this place! It was the perfect oasis in Luang Prabang. But the Garden House is not only a place to stay to explore the city & its surroundings, it’s a destination in itself. It’s a wonderful experience to take part of this inspired project. The breakfast room windows capture the misty morning mountains like a painting. The generous outdoor kitchen allowed us to experiment with Lao cooking. Incredibly, we could add the organic produce from the garden to our plates. The lovely host even offered a papaya directly from the tree to my mother - this is the kind of moments you cherish forever… The list of things to adore here is endless - thank you so much for creating this place & giving us such a warm welcome! Extra thanks for helping us (super efficiently on WhatsApp) with everything from charcoal to the barbecue to sticky rice steamer to transport.

We were planning to stay for one night but extended for two more nights because we loved it so much! Pinky was the most amazing host and made us feel so welcome. She gave us recommendations on where to go, we could take bicycles for free and there is a free shuttle to the night market. The pool is incredible the beds are really good, there is a smart tv so you can watch Netflix, a fully stocked mini fridge and fresh towels every day. Even after my stay when I accidentally left my card in an ATM machine I could message Pinky and she helped me find the right resources to get it back. She’s honestly the nicest person ever. Thank you so much for our incredible stay!

Perfection in every aspect! Great food! The host and his wife (a local Laotian) fulfilling all our culinary cravings ... Everything new, still smelling brand new. The perfect place for those seeking undisturbed relaxation. Perfect to indulge in blissful laziness. A wonderful view of the jungle-covered mountain range, straight from the terrace of the lodges, as well as the restaurant. 600 meters to the entrance to the Nature Park - breathtaking beauty. Spectacular property with a waterfall and river running through the property. Each suite is beautifully designed by renowned architect and interior designer Bill Bensley. The gardens are well kept and the pool area has lots of private areas for use. Restaurant and bar areas are amazing. All staff are courteous, cheerful and on hand to assist with your every need.

The staff made our stay out of this world especially Oscar and Pansa. From the moment we made our booking they bent over backwards to ensure our every need was met. As they all waved us off when we left we had tears in our eyes. The location was great. Although 7 minutes out of town the hotel provides free shuttle runs 3 times a day. It is on the way to the Si Kuang falls and other tourist spots so very convenient for sightseeing. And of course being out of town it is oh so tranquil. The pool is large if a little cool so a great place to relax. Although it does not have the facilities of other 5 star hotels the price is considerably lower so it is great value for money.

The Grand is the most beautiful and grand hotel in Luang Prabang. We enjoyed it even more than the Amantaka. The hotel is on the edge of a cliff overlooking the Mekong, thus the view is spectacular. It might not have the convenience of hotels in the center of the town, but it has a sense of privacy and grandness that is simply unbeatable. The entire property was so beautiful, enchanted with historical and architectural charm. Being in the hotel is like entering a time warp. The pool by the lawn is a gleaming jewel. As for the distance to town, it's a 10-minute tuck tuck ride, which isn't bad at all. We can't wait to go back to stay there again!
