A fantastic place to stay to get a sense of the Joseon period. The accommodation is hanok-style but with modern additions. The on-site spa (Jjimbilbang) is certainly worth trying, but the star is the food. The seven-course menu is prepared with deep care and attention and is truly wonderful. The staff are very caring and attentive. Highly recommend staying here.

This brand new hotel ticked all the boxes! Excellent location in a newly developing area. Lots of eateries nearby; a jogging trail around the lake at the back of the property; walking trails in local parks across the road, and all just 5km away from historic Hahoe Village. Our room overlooked what will soon be another major development, but is currently just an empty section (I would recommend requesting a room at the back overlooking the lake). Everything in the room was wonderful - morning sun; double glazing (so absolutely no road noise); great shower; wonderful toiletries (shampoo/conditioner/body wash); a mini fridge; daily cleaning; comfie bed; lots of charging points and plugs. The breakfast buffet is the best we have had yet on our trip, and definitely recommended, with both western food (hash browns, bacon, pastries, coffee), along with multiple Korean dishes. We used the gym for a back/biceps weight session, and while the equipment is a little limited, there is still enough for a good workout (a full dumbell set up to 20kg, abductor/adductor machine, hyper-extension machine, Smith rack, and two incline benches). This is the second Stanford hotel we have stayed at on our tour of the country, and they are all obviously top notch!!!

The staff was helpful beyond expectations and continuously available throughout our stay. The place has a lovely atmosphere and a beautiful view.

I like everything about this property. It’s definitely worth it to stay for a night in this historical gem in Korea. The lady there is very very friendly and will prepare an excellent breakfast in traditional Korean style. Don’t miss it when you come to Korea

It is a wonderfull place, we can visit the house with the owner and it was great and very interesting. The owner is very kindly. The place is very quiet.

- Loved the comfortable vibe of this place. It matches the serene nature of Andong - It really felt like every corner of this hostel is taken care of with a lot of care and attention by the owner and the staff - The lounge area downstairs is beautiful and it allows for good conversations as well has places where you can go to have some quiet time - The staff was extremely courteous and helpful. Sometimes even going out of their way to help me out - I found the crowd that come to the hostel to be really good. I made some good friends who I could go to the town with - The breakfast was really good and very filling - You had the option of buying more food or drinks from the cafe if needed. - The cats and the library books just made the whole place so lively
