Out of the 8 hotels I stayed at in different cities across Korea, this one is definitely the best. The rooms look modern, the bathroom is luxurious, the service is excellent, and the breakfast is great. The location is also perfect - the bus stop to Seoraksan is nearby, the Sokcho promenade is within walking distance, and the area itself is quiet. Overall, thank you - it was an amazing stay!

The owner was extremely nice and gave us a lot of tips. He made us feel very welcome and even drove us to the bus station. The hotel was very clean, nice and comfy. Perfect location and sea view from our room. 10 min from fish market on foot. Next to the bus line that takes you directly to Seoraksan park. I would certainly choose it again if I return

New and very clean hotel. The room we got was very spacious. It was a relatively short taxi ride to Seoraksan National Park and a short stroll to the Sokcho Beach and Sokcho express bus terminal. Word stay here again.

Very new Hotel, located at the shore. Walking distance to seafood places. We booked access to family lounge, very nice concept for kids and adults. The hotel added a tent to the room, nice place to sleep for the kid and small gifts were found in the room as well. Game Arcade on the 5th floor includes even singing rooms. We used the infinity pool, super condition. Fantastic breakfast choices!

Very spacious and clean rooms, comfy bed, a lot of space to unpack your luggage. The staff at the 24/7 reception all very helpful, responsive, kind and professional, even in the middle of the night. We took a room with the ocean view for 4 nights and it was just perfect. The kitchen and the washing machine are a plus, although there is no rack to dry the clothes after washing. The fridge is quiet (which is not always the case in hotels). The bathroom is small but very pleasant and clean. The location is convenient, walking distance from the beach and the express bus terminal, and you can take direct buses to Naksan Temple and Soraksan from a bus stop just in front of the hotel. All in all a great experience!

What a beautiful place to stay! My room (spacious, welcoming, very modern and with a great bathroom) and a balcony overlooking the sea. The hotel is in a magical spot, not in the centre of Sokcho (but I had been there before, I wanted to explore the area) and you can really get an authentic experience with the atmosphere and the food. The convenience store inside the hotel is not a rarity in Korea, but I am still not used to it, I think it's so cool and convenient :) Super recommend if you want to visit the Daepo Port area.

Fall is a great time to visit nearby Seoraksan Park. Beautiful colors, dryer days, and cool temps for hiking. The markets in Sokcho are bustling, and there are lots of great places to eat. Easy to get around by walking, bus, or taxi

So beautiful!

So beautiful! Great to get out of Seoul for a bit for some mountains in the east. The mountains are just breathtakingly beautiful... I love hiking up these stunning mountains with 80 year old Korean grandmas and grandpas in their full set matching tech hiking gear. Hehehe!!! I felt like such a novice. Sadly, I couldn't attempt the highest peak, but got up to Ulsanbawi and the view...!!!! Don't underestimate the late 1 km. Hahaha. It's a killer staircase. Absolutely beautiful. The bus from Seoul to Seokcho is super comfortable, easy to book on Klook, around $15US. You get one stop along the way for a quick bathroom break. You can also quickly buy some food or drinks. I wish I had more time in Sokcho. Would have loved to explore the beaches and the lake. Apparently walking barefoot is all the rage! A lovely middle aged lady was explaining to me at the bus stop. There are barefoot paths along the lake etc

Great place with so much to do, from a beautiful temple on a...

Great place with so much to do, from a beautiful temple on a cliff overlooking the sea in a nearby town to the most stunning national park in South Korea, along with beaches and great food. The only downside is the lack of nightlife, as everything closes early, with dinner time before 8 pm.

Our son has lived in Seoul for 9 years.

Our son has lived in Seoul for 9 years. He and his friends were surprised that we chose to go to Sokcho after our stay in Seoul and suggested Busan instead. Their main concern was that we would struggle with language in Sokcho as we only speak a little Korean. It didn't turn out to be a problem at all! The local people were really friendly and were keen to speak to us in English to find out where we were from etc.to practice their English. Sokcho was brilliant offering both coast and the Seoraksan National Park. It was nice to get out of the city and spend 5 days there. We would definitely go again and spend longer there next time.

Nice clean Beaches with Clear water.

Nice clean Beaches with Clear water. Ok for families, not much going on if you are single. Stay 2 days.You can walk to most places in the town within half an hour. The streets are very flat with not many hills. The town is still developing there are several run down parts. Access by bus from Seoul takes about 2.5 hours.

Getting to Sokcho is pretty easy from Seoul. Perfect place for sea food lovers! Beaches are very clean. And all the places are accessible by public transport bus. Pizzalazza restaurant for pizzas, Lotteria for vegan burgers- highly recommended. Sokcho eye gives you a very beautiful view of the city. Naksansa temple is very beautiful. So is Seoraksan national park- treat for nature lovers, both are easily accessible by bus.

Excellent hostel, very nice host, the bedroom and common room are very confortable and clean. Everything is very convenient for your trip to be perfect ! The hostel is close to a lot of shops, restaurants, small port and beaches (~15min by walk). The intercity bus terminal is 5min away from the hostel which is really good if you’re traveling in South Korea. You can do you laundry (washing and drying for 3000W/each) and have free breakfast. Would definitely comeback here, 100% ! Thank you

Our host was so welcoming and attentive to making our stay memorable, and it was a pleasure to stay in his Korean house (rather than a big hotel). The breakfast was adequate and we enjoyed the jacuzzi in our room! It was easy to catch the bus from near the house up to the Seoraksan Park and in the evening we got a taxi into Sokcho which wasn’t expensive. Take up his recommendations - the grilled fish restaurant in Sokcho was fantastic and a real experience.

Great location opposite the beach and a short walk from the express bus terminal. The deluxe double room was spacious, clean and had everything you need including: storage space, kettle, microwave, fridge, etc. There’s a 24h 7/11 store in the hotel and a lot of little restaurants close by. Great service as well, spoke English at the desk and stored luggage for the morning after check out. Highly recommended!

free room upgrade, when we booked for 3 nights, helpful English speaking front desk staff (Mr Paul from Brazil). Directly faces the Sokcho Express bus terminal, though not noisy from it, local bus service stop next to the hotel, buses to the tourist market/Soraksan/Naksansa temple.
