Great location close to the train station and very accessible to all the bus stops! There is a jjimjilbang attached which is such a luxury! The rooms are renovated, modern, comfortable and clean. One of the best showers we had from all of our accommodations!

The staff were very friendly and ordered a taxi to take us around for three hours. We didn’t mind forgoing the govt subsidy as we wanted to be picked up and dropped off at the hotel. We also liked the two convenience stores, esp the one on the lobby floor. The cafe was very gd too- Twosome Place. There were amazing seafood restaurants next to the hotel that were open for dinner on a Wed night during winter. Unforgettable snow crab n jumbo shrimps with sashimi and tempura. The beach is just opposite the hotel and you can see it from ocean view rooms.

We stopped for a night in Gangneung to then take a train to visit the Sangwonsa Temple. The nice part of the city is the coast line, in particular Coffee Street if you are a coffee lover, where you can find lots of very nice coffee places. The hotel is nice and has a nice breakfast room, furnished with lot of bookshelves around you, and with very good quality food. The staff is superfriendly and helpful.

Gangneung is a quaint fishing village. It was very quiet when I was there...I think summer season just ended. Very picturesque, tons of restaraunts and coffee shops. Great place to go on drives just to look around.

Gangneung is a quite and beach city.

Gangneung is a quite and beach city. Connectivity through train was good. I hired a rent a car and car is a must for swift movement and to cover the areas. Beaches are clean and worth to spend time. coffees are good.

There are many places in Gangneung I wanted to visit but I...

There are many places in Gangneung I wanted to visit but I couldnt because of time. I ate street food, I did not use a taxi because I could walk (15 minutes) to down town and back to my accommodation. I visited Haslla Museum, Deung Myeong beach. The beach was calm with less people which is my preference. I want to see more different places next time I visit.

This beach region was amazing.

This beach region was amazing. With a lake and mountain backdrop along the sandy beach, it was definitely enjoyable. We drove up the coast stopping at cafes and long beaches. Luckily we visited in late April when the crowd was less. I wish there were more food choices than sashimi and crabs, but overall it was a beautiful region and I highly recommend it. We stayed at the Tops10 and SeaBay properties. Great value during low season with amazing views.

Interesting place and plenty to see, would love to visit in summer. Market was amazing, food was interesting and tasty. Taxis are the best way to get around as they are everywhere. Chamsori Gramophone Museum and Edison Science Museum worth a look at. Beaches are lovely, Anmok Beach area worth a visit too.

Everywhere is a great beach view of the east coast of Korea.

Everywhere is a great beach view of the east coast of Korea. Beautiful blue and turquoise waters. Visit the traditional market, try their famous tofu dish and ox head soup. Also drop by the futuristic Arte immersive multi-media experience. Easy to get around with taxis and buses.

Bright rooms, Good lightening, Excellent WIFI, Sufficient plugs, Big bathroom Gyeongpo beach is beautiful, wide and white; if you walk along the pine trees to the right of the hotel for 15 minutes or so, you come to Gangmun beach, not so beautiful but with some good bakeries, coffeeshops, and restaurants. The taxi drive from Gangneung station is cheap (and short), the pool area on top of the hotel spectacular (but you have as you have everywhere in South Korea, too, to pay for the hotel pool).

The hotel is clean and the rooms were a good size. We went in winter and the rooms were always warm. The breakfast was very tasty and the location was in an interesting part of town being near to the river and the traditional market. We ate very well in the surrounding restaurants and loved the views of the snow covered mountains surrounding us.

This place is a dream — just a 5-minute walk from one of the most beautiful and peaceful beaches I’ve visited in Korea. The pension is stunning; in June, the garden is full of blooming roses. The staff were incredibly kind and always happy to help. The room was spacious and cozy. 🌹
