Manel is an incredibly accommodating and hospitable host. Arriving at his guest house is easy, and you are greeted with a big smile, plenty of information, and kindness. You can rent a motorbike, book a tour to see elephants or gibbons, or simply relax in the hammocks in the yard. Manel even helped me soothe my cough with a delightful hot lemonade made with ginger and honey. We truly had a wonderful time. Additionally, his wife is an excellent cook. We didn't need to go anywhere else for meals, as the restaurant offers a great variety to choose from.

Very friendly staff. We rented 2 tents, I didn’t expect to have power but there was more than enough sockets in the tent. It was also nice having bathroom facilities directly behind the tent. This gave us a lot more privacy.

The resort surrounding by nature, especially there are a lots of trees. The staffs are very professional and friendly, especially Vichea, were incredibly nice and helpful. His kind gesture of upgrading us to a beautiful villa made our stay even more special.

We had an excellent stay! The retreat is clean, the gardens are immaculate - it is clear a lot of love and care went into this place. The owner is very helpful and friendly and will help to organize any outings, hikes or experiences, and his wife makes delicious cookies! The restaurant is good and so are the prices. The staff don't speak a lot of English but they do everything to accommodate you. I would stay here again if I visit Mondulkiri again.

Elephants, Gibbons, waterfalls, market.

Elephants, Gibbons, waterfalls, market. That's what you have at Sen Monorom. Five hours away is Kratie, if you want to visit the Mekong Dolphins via boat tour or kayak. There's also temples and waterfalls.

Little town with an atmosphere, it was difficult to leave! The wildlife around is thriving and we totally recommend trekking and visiting the animal conservation projets around. There are e few good restaurants around like the hangout at which we ate 4 times, with a very welcoming lady.

Loved our stay at the Nature Lodge where we ate great food at the onsite restaurant. We had one full day trip sightseeing around Sen Monorom and surrounds where we went to a local Coffee Plantation for lunch which was higher in price for food (close to Australian prices) but very delicious, walked through local farms, Bou Sra Eco Park where we saw Bou Sra waterfall which I would recommend, the Sea Forest Lookout was a fun way to watch the sunset while taking cheesy touristy photos, and Sunset Hill/Phnom Do Kramom which gave us a beautiful panorama of Sen Monorom. A highlight of my entire Cambodian trip was the 2-Day jungle trek with the Mondulkiri Project which I would 100% recommend as an ethical ecotourism project which gives back directly to land conservation, supporting a local Indigenous village and the rescue and safe keeping of elephants which have been removed from previously unethical working backgrounds which endangered them. The town had everything we needed when visiting but didn't spend much time around the markets or town centre to be able to comment. Very easy to get a tuk tuk to get around and buses travel to and from major towns and cities daily.

We stayed at Sumeru Bungalows which was great, before visiting Mondulkiri Project to see some elephants in the wild and do a 1.5km trek through the jungle. As we're older travellers (50s-60s) we found some of the trek v challenging but it was worth it. Sleeping in hammocks was tough but doable for one night! Could be a bit more vegetarian food, boiled rice and plain vegetables was a bit light on for the level of activity, but the overall experience was incredible. Worth a visit for sure!

In reality, there's only one main street and a few side streets, but you can quickly explore them all. However, there are many interesting places to visit nearby and a good supermarket.

This quiet little town in the northeastern corner of...

This quiet little town in the northeastern corner of Cambodia has abundant tourism resources, but I feel there's still room for more attractions to be developed. After visiting Boeung Khesar Nam Waterfall, coffee plantations, the sea of trees, and a supposedly sacred temple, I prayed to the unnamed statue, hoping for his blessing! Renting a tuk-tuk costs $30 USD and will take you to all the above attractions in about six hours. This price applies to every tourist city in Cambodia, except Sihanoukville. Sen Monorom exudes a pure, simple, and wonderful quality. The most beautiful virtue is that the market vendors leave their doors unlocked at night; simply covering the goods indicates they're closing up shop, and there's no fear of theft. This is the greatest virtue, and I'm grateful to Cambodia for giving me this experience. I will continue to share this wonderful side with my friends. Grateful to have met you, see you again, Sen Monorom.

The hotel is gorgeous, the garden is stunning with plenty of space and different seating including hammocks and swing chairs, and it's surrounded by a river. The bungalows are very comfortable and well equipped with AC, hot water shower, fridge, kettle, etc. The owner and his family are extremely nice and welcoming, he can speak outstanding good English and will always show and advise you about the place. It's clean, it's got a very nice pool, and the food is yummy.
