The hostess, Guljan, and her family were very hospitable and immediately made me feel at home. Nothing was too much trouble for her. The room was spotlessly clean, light and with amazing views of the mountains on one side and the lake on the other. It was incredibly peaceful with only the sounds of the birds as a backdrop. A decent breakfast was included in the price and Guljan also prepared an evening meal for a extra fee. This was most welcome as there are no restaurants in the village. Tong is a good base for walking; there are many trails along the lakeside and in the hills and, as it's on the main road, it's easy to get to Fairy Canyon and nearby Bokonbaeva by minibus. I'd definitely recommend this guesthouse, especially for non-Russian speakers as both Guljan and her daughter, Nazik, speak some English.

Very nice and welcoming owner and her family, who opened this yurt camp recently in summer 2024. We had a yurt for 3 pers. with a view on the lake from the door. The breakfast was very good. The owners offer also dinner at extra cost for those who want. We had electricity in the yurt, but I don't remember we had WiFi.

The area around Bosogo Yurt Camp is absolutely beautiful. You’ll be able to see the mountains with white glaciers right from the yurt, and the whole place is surrounded by apple trees. The traditional Kyrgyz food is really delicious and very filling. We also added the night show performance and dinner — totally worth it.

Everything was great - the location is perfect, very close to the lake (with a shortcut to the beach) and to the red canyons on the other side. It’s right on the road, so it’s easy to reach by public transport (from Bishkek). The yurt is beautifully decorated inside and very cozy. The staff is a lovely family, which made it feel like staying with friends. I was lucky to have great weather. but if it’s colder, the yurts are equipped with heaters to keep you warm I‘d definitely recommend this place!

Culture, politics, religion in Kyrgyzstan is quite instable...

Culture, politics, religion in Kyrgyzstan is quite instable but in Tong i felt safe and easliny get contact with inhabitants. Each morning you hear "dobroeee utroo" "As Salam Aleykum" from the bottom of the heart. If you like to swimm thanks to stones, water here is clear, you can find also small, clean beaches with sand (removed stones).
