Staying at Osugi-ya was easily the highlight of my entire Japan itinerary. It was a true Japanese hospitality experience, enriched with Kansai’s warm and outgoing manner. Throughout my stay, I felt both like an honored guest and a family member. Ken-san and Kazu-san are truly a blessing to be around. The experience was incredibly relaxing yet full of joy. I fondly look back on the tea baths, waking up amid breathtaking tea field scenery, and enjoying absolutely delicious dinners. The Osugi-ya chef is a true master of his craft—I enjoyed the best washoku, made from freshly prepared Japanese ingredients. The mindful, “at-home” atmosphere led to the best night’s sleep I had during my stay in Japan, which is invaluable on any long trip abroad.

We absolutely fell in love with the Kizuna Guesthouse! The house is beautiful, so comfortable and cozy. The surroundings are stunning and peaceful, and above all, what a wonderful welcome! Yukie and Kevin were amazing hosts. They welcomed us so warmly and gave us lots of great advice, there is so much to see and do in the area. It was more than just a guesthouse, it was a true immersion in Japanese culture, thanks to everything that Yukie and Kevin shared with us. And last but not least, the breakfast prepared by Yukie was absolutely delicious! We stayed there with our two children and would have loved to stay longer, as we felt so at home. One thing is certain: if we’re lucky enough to return to Japan one day, we’ll definitely come back to the Kizuna Guesthouse!

Great to have ONSEN experience first time. The place has an old worldish charm- for us traveller's. We loved NARA. Onsen massage chair was a hit.

The Nara Visitor Center and Inn is situated in the heart of Nara, just a 3-minute walk from Kofuku-ji Temple and Naramachi.

Novotel Nara is a lovely hotel. Our room was spacious although not much space for clothes. It however had everything else you needed. I lovely the onsen area and massage chairs we could use. The staff were very helpful and was lovely how they decorated the room for my husbands birthday.

Exceptionally clean and tidy. We liked the design of the room, which felt very authentic. The staff were really nice and we felt very welcome — really enjoyed the dinner, which was so nicely prepared and delicious.

The beds extremely comfortable. Great, clean rooms, 15 min. away from the city center, located next to a tea plantation and next to a "michinoeki" ! The reception staff was so nice !

The room was huge, I’ve never had a hotel room this big! It has its own washing machine, which was really convenient and a great bathroom with an automatic tub. Really close to the station, really convenient to reach!

We came mainly for the location to Nara Park and the train station and was not expecting more than a basic hotel with beds. We were pleasantly surprised with the inner-courtyard for the kids, the restaurant and the general design of the hotel with sustainable wood. We would recommend to anyone staying the night in Nara.
