I am a frequent traveler and I must say this is one of my favorite rooms ever. The choices of the materials, since the stone in the bathroom to the floor were very well thought. The room we chose were very spacious considering Tokyo scenario. The amenities were very useful and the complementary lounge with drinks and beverages were the best of the trip. I loved every detail and recommend it.

We stayed here for five days with three rooms. The hotel gave us the rooms at the same floor close to each other. We booked three standard rooms and they upgraded two rooms to the suprior family room for free! Much appreciated! Rooms are super clean and I think it's rather spacous by Tokyo standards. The washing matching does both washing and drying and is very useful. Convinent store is just 2 min away so you could buy breakfast and snacks. One supermarkt is 5min away. We bought vegetable and noodles to cook dinner when we were tired of going out for dinner. Having some Kitchenette is a great pro of this hotel. The hotel is located in a very quite neghborhood. There are three different metro stations within 10-15min walking distance. This is convinent enough for us.

FAQs about hotels in Tokyo

See It to Believe It!

The capital of Japan, Tokyo is a vast, teeming metropolis nestled between mountains and Tokyo Bay. It’s so huge that you’ll have to come to grips with public transport and maybe even experience being pushed onto a train. Yes, it does actually happen!

Get your bearings by ascending the Tokyo World Trade Centre near the waterfront, and savour the fantastic views taking in the red-and-white Tokyo Tower and Shinkuju’s skyscrapers. North is Ueno, home to the best museums (including the Tokyo National Museum) and a large park bursting with cherry blossom in spring.

Equally tranquil are the Chiyoda Imperial Palace and Gardens, surrounded by water. Also in gardens is the Meiji Jingu Shinto shrine in Shibuya, a youthful district where neon abounds.

For more traditional Japanese culture, head to Asakusa whose Sensō-ji Buddhist temple is Tokyo’s oldest temple. Markets in the grounds sell a variety of wares, though shopping in Tokyo is, of course, fantastic wherever you go.

Whether you stay in a Japanese ryokan, luxury Tokyo hotel or a hostel, don’t fly out of Tokyo Narita Airport or Haneda Airport without having tried sushi. Another Japanese institution is the sento (public bath) and onsen (hot springs bath) – a must try. Also incredibly popular are Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea, Asia’s 2 most visited theme parks.

We travelled the whole of Japan for two weeks before staying in Tokyo for 3 days, we have been to Tokyo before for two days and we love the place, just wanted to come back. This time, as we have now travelled a lot of Japan, we noticed that Tokyo doesn't really offer much more than the other places other than more crowds and more expensive pricing, but this is the same with any capital in a country. Just be aware that there is more of Japan that is even more beautiful. Next time we will just have the one day in Tokyo and enjoy more of the country! But, if what you want is everything in one area and don't have the convenience to travel, then Tokyo is fine, just get out extra early and I mean 5 or 6 am, because it gets crazy busy at night, so busy you literally can't move!!

One of the greatest cities on Earth without a doubt. I think it's easy to spend a month here and not get bored. Lots of diverse sights and attractions from the traditional cultural to high-tech, culinary and fashion ones. And on top of it all, an extremely efficient transport system - and it's fairly priced too!

I love the cleanliness of the City most, but the entertainments options are a clise second. Sleep us difficult because there's so much to do, see and eat. I know tourism is a problem for locals: I live in California, so I understand. All the same, Japan in general is a wonderful place to visit, and I hope we can all be respectful visitors so cities like Tokyo will continue to welcome international guests.

I was worried Tokyo might be too frantic for me but it was wonderful. We learned subway system in one day. Our favorite eatery was the Ginza Lion near hotel. Also Bib Gourmand Gyoza place on the back wall on 5th floor of train station. After hectic shopping in Ginza district I found peace and great pleasure in Ueno Park zoo and National Museum of Art. Get to zoo at before opening and follow crowds racing to panda exhibit. We also loved Tokyo Sea Disneyland and see why it is 43th most populuar Disney park . It is beautiful in and of itself. Of course we loved seeing Godzilla and hyperrealistic 3D cat! And while in vicinity had great Yakitori.

Tokyo is an amazing city with excellent shopping opportunities that will tempt even the most disciplined buyer. Musicians should make a point of visiting Ochanomizu, which is famous for its extensive collection of music stores, particularly those specializing in guitars. Foreign visitors can take advantage of tax-free purchases, and some shops will even package your guitar for checked luggage, saving you significant shipping costs. Just remember to check your home country's import duties and taxes before making large purchases. The food in Tokyo is top-notch, and the city is remarkably safe. For sushi lovers, I highly recommend Sushiro, along with any reputable ramen shop and Go Go Curry for a satisfying meal.

Second mimaru property we stayed at in Tokyo. We really liked the last one (Ueno east) but liked this even more. The room was more spacious, very spacious by Tokyo standards. Same comfy beds and helpful friendly staff. The location was good - very close to station on the Oedo line which runs across to the east side for Asakusa and Ueno, as well as being close to the west side neighbourhoods. The immediate neighbourhood was office towers and tall hotels, but plenty of services and close to livelier parts of Shinjuku as well.

The hotel is well situated, near Yotsuya san-chome (四谷三丁目) station, making travel into Shibuya and Shinjuku extremely easy. The room was spacious and clean, with all the usual fittings expected in a Japanese hotel.
