This place is great! It’s not in the centre of Takayama, but I liked that about it. There are bikes that can be borrowed for cycling into the central district. The view from my room was beautiful. The breakfast buffet is good value for money. The staff were welcoming and very helpful. Overall excellent value for money.

The river surrounds the house, and you can see it and hear it from most windows (specially the room) It's really peaceful, I slept like a baby here. The futons were very comfortable and the place spacious. It's a little away from the center, but because of that really peaceful and at one end of the philosophers path, so: good place to rest and do some wander through the temples and green areas.

This place deserves 100. 10 is much too low. It was unbelievable. Beautiful large apt, all what we needed and much more, a private sauna, a fridge full of drinks and a bottle of wine complementry. Location was fairly near the JR Takayama Station. A bus station is also nearby. Restaurants are a walking distance. I really liked their initiative to put together a tourist guide for Takayama which can be found in the lobby. The guide was very comprehensive in suggesting activities, destinations and food to try during your stay in Takayama. Twin Room was also fairly large for a Japanese Hotel. Facility was clean and would definitely stay here again. Staff has been really helpful, warm and accommodating.
