The entire experience was extraordinary. We were greeted with welcome drinks in front of a fire, and led to our room by courteous but hospitable staff. Our 3-person room faced a quiet garden, and we enjoyed delicious cake and tea before being led to the dinner. There was a pair of yukata and a pair of more modern pajamas in the room, along with a warm jacket and a pair of socks for each person. There was a toilet in our entrance hall, and a sink and mirror in the room. Dinner and breakfast were both served in an independent Japanese room located in the older building, and our server conversed with us in fluent Mandarin and English. We loved the exquisitely made Japanese dinner and breakfast, every single small dish and platter of it! The two hotsprings were also delightfully pleasant. The indoors medicinal bath was small but very clean, while the outdoor bath was much more spacious. For some reason, we did not meet many people using the bath either in the evening or the morning. We opted for a shuttle bus to leave the hotel in the morning. The hotel was very helpful with answering questions and reserving shuttle service through the booking.com chat room in English. We were extremely happy with our stay, and hope to stay longer next time.

What a beautiful hotel! As travellers from Australia, the staff were so accommodating with the language barrier, and were so warm and welcoming. The buffet was absolutely incredible, facilities perfect, games room for our 6 year old, even a shop! The candy station was also a big hit! Definitely would reccomend!

This is a beautifully preserved old house, yet equipped with modern air conditioning, bathroom, and kitchen facilities. The space is clean, spacious, and comfortable, with a garden and a traditional storehouse. It’s not suitable for a rushed one-night stay — ideally, you should spend 2 to 3 days here to truly experience the architecture and lifestyle of the old house. The building itself is of historical value, and its previous owners have interesting stories. Simply put, you can think of this place as a small museum. It is very spacious. It has a keyboard. You can feel free to train up your music skill. And let your flatmate know your music talent. The B&B owner is super nice. And he introduced me a very good izakaya nearby, coincidentally, I met another owner of B&B there. I still believe it is not a business trap. Anyway, there is nothing to criticize, the neighborhood is dark, it would be wonderful for those enjoying dark, like me. Near the B&B, it has a public rice polishing machine (精米機）by the road, works like a vending machine. Even you dont have any ungrained rice to polish, it is still a lovely spot to visit as the machine reminds you are.in the prefecture with the best rice of Japan.
