I really loved the house — it was spacious, very comfortable, and perfect for a family stay. The beds were comfortable, and I especially appreciated the bathroom with its automatic temperature control and filling function. The kitchen was well equipped, and the BBQ area was extremely useful. Directions from the host were clear and easy to follow. The mountain views from the bedrooms were a lovely bonus.

An absolute must visit for every stargazing fan. We got to see Stars, Planets and even Comets trough the second largest telescop of Kyushu. We could see Saturn with some of it's Moons, a twin star and our guide even showed us Swan comet on request. The House itself is packed with all kind of stargazing curiosities, we felt like being transported to an whole other world. Western style dinner and breakfast made from local products was more than delicious. All in all an otherworldly experience.

Our stay at this incredible Japanese house was nothing short of a dream. This beautifully renovated traditional home, built by the owner's ancestors probably 150 years ago and renovated thoughtfully and lovingly by the owner recently. It offers lovely gardens and breathtaking views of Mount Aso and is meticulously maintained to the highest standards. Each room exudes the charm and character of a traditional Japanese palace, while also providing all modern amenities.The onsen is an indulgent treat, and the professional kitchen, sound and home cinema systems, barbecue house, and karaoke house added to the exceptional experience. We opted for the barbecue on two of our three nights, and the food was world-class, prepared with love and care by the owner, his wife, and the property manager.We felt like we were in a dream and wished we could have stayed much longer. Highly recommended for an unforgettable stay! Yoshio, Sumie, and Yuji you are the best!
