Staff were very good - always friendly and helpful. Breakfast and following buffet from 11am to 9pm were excellent - a good range of food and soft drinks for all tastes. It was kept well stocked and the food was tasty. The dining area was well organised, comfortable and the staff took great care of guests. Our room was very comfortable and beautifully clean.

Unlike the Miyako in Kyoto, this 208-room property is not associated with Westin/Marriott. The hotel is relatively new, around four years old when writing this. We picked the Miyako Hotel Hakata for its excellent location right adjacent to the Hakata train station. The reception is on the third floor. The staff is friendly and professional, and the rooms are excellent - very spacious and bright. Fully equipped with any amenities you might need and with fantastic beds and pillows. The lights, curtains and drapes are controlled by a tablet on a bedside table. The hotel features a lovely outdoor pool on the top floor amd also has a good restaurant for breakfast and dinner. We tried the ten course dinner and it was very good. When in Fukuoka we will pick the Miyako again. One of the top hotels we have stayed at during our many hotel nights in Japan. Very nice and cosy hotel surrounded by vegetation. Each room has access to a balcony to relax on. Good location close to the station. The staff is very professional and always ready to help.
