The staff was amazing, above and beyond is an understatement. Very friendly and helpful. The hotel was nice. A bit far from Hakuba but the shuttle buss was very helpful and if you have a car that is not a problem!

Location was super close to the station. We stayed here because we wanted to get an early start on the alpine route. Owners were lovely and we managed any language barrier with google translate and they were patient and friendly. They are on the list of hotels for luggage transfer for the alpine route, so you can organise with them the night before and leave your luggage at reception early AM and head off. Older style facilities but way cheaper and more convenient for us than other Omachi accommodation options. Futon beds were comfortable and clean. Plenty of room for our family of five (although we didn’t travel with lots of luggage). Supermarket really close by to stock up on snacks for alpine route. Our room had an attached toilet which was super handy.
