We had an excellent stay, the photos of this place do not do it justice it’s incredible staying in this beautiful piece of history. 150-160years old with modern toilets & kitchen and a beautiful wooden bathroom with lovely wooden plunge tub. Checkin was a breeze with the owner who was very lovely and walked us through the entire place with care. Would highly recommend a stay here.

As everything in Japan, it was all perfectly organized and the staff was super kind. We had a great experience there, the place is wonderful, the quietness and the unexpected foot bath (onsen) was amazing. Food was also great, everything well explained and with all the support needed.

Very friendly staff. Atmosphere was relaxing and the view from the balcony is great. Rooms are also good and curry was very tasty! Also the sake tasting is great value for money.

The property was centrally located, very clean, and completely free of insects. The traditional style gave it a cozy, homelike feeling. I really enjoyed the evening breeze and had a great dinner. Next time we’ll make sure to stay here again because it’s such a perfect location.

Our hosts were amazing. They met us at the train station and catered for our every need. In particular one of our group had an accident and needed medical attention. They called the ambulance and accompanied her to hospital, followed by her husband and the rest of the party in the car. We had food in the restaurant on the first night, also highly recommended. The host was very kind and showed me around the house when I arrived. Parking was easy and even though I was only there for a night, it had everything needed for a longer stay.

This place is AMAZING. I didnt know, but it is a traditional Japanese country house, more than 100 years old, tatami floors, futon bed, little gardin looking to the mountains. It was one of my best stays in my Japan trip so far. Also, Ashi (the host) is super nice, he even drived me to Magome the next day free of charge. Thank you, Ashi. I recommend very much.
