I had a wonderful stay! The room was clean and felt just like home. The host was friendly and incredibly helpful, making our experience even better. There are supermarkets and restaurants nearby, though we were unfortunate that the restaurant were closed on Tuesday. If you're looking to grab some food, make sure to arrive at the supermarket before 6 PM. However, I highly recommend dining at the host's place—experiencing home-cooked meals at Kumano was truly magical! Additionally, the host offers lunch boxes, and I was amazed by the presentation! It reminded me of the beautifully arranged meals I often see in anime. Overall, a fantastic experience!

Very clean and with a nice sanded wood smell. Our rooms opened up to a view of the town and the mountains surrounding Chikatsuyu. The pleasure to open the windows in the sunny summer morning and enjoy the open air was absolutely unmatched. There are musical instruments in the common room, which is also very tidy, and nice smelling, yet homely.

Brand new house, with all the equipments that you would want and more. The house was very clean and relaxing. Had my best night of sleep in a while! Some food was offered (e.g rice, noodles, pata etc) Check-in was super efficient. Bus is 1min away so it is super convenient to go to a town closer to Yunomine and start your hike.

True Japanese hospitality in the traditional style, wonderful food (breakfast and dinner) and the special on site experience requiring a walk through a tunnel is certainly memorable. Our hosts were always smiling and friendly and helped us with a bus reservation (which was vital)
