Hotel exceeded all expectations. The room, staff, service, onsen and fire place were lovely. The free drinks, snacks in the library was generous and it was a pleasure to sit there with the other hotel guests. Location was brilliant just a few minutes walk from the station.

We really enjoyed our stay here! When you entered Byakudan, you can smell sandalwood right away, it’s so calming and it’s a vibe. The staff welcomed us with fresh green tea and japanese snacks. Everything was done perfectly and the staff were so nice and helpful. The girl who served us during dinner and breakfast, her name is Saki, she was so helpful and nice to us, even wrote us a little thank you note before our departure. It was so sweet of her. And we hope to see her again during our next stay in Byakudan :)

Great location in the middle of Hakone sights, close to bus...

Great location in the middle of Hakone sights, close to bus stop and train stop which is very convenient. Gorgeous property with old style designs but modern amenities. The outdoor private onsen was wonderful, but need to access outdoor to use the shower and bath which was a little inconvenient if using late at night and if it’s cold. Wonderful stay, beds were very comfortable.
