The location is right next to Kokura shinkansen station, so it's a big plus. The room was very spacious, and offered at a very competitive price. I've been staying in and around Kokura a number of times for the last 15 or so years, and this was definitely the best spot.

This accommodation is located just a short walk from Kokura Station, right in the heart of Kitakyushu’s main attractions. You can easily reach almost every popular spot on foot. The room is spacious and affordable, offering three separate beds, which is something you rarely find in Japan. Honestly, I almost don’t want to share this review—because if more people discover this place, the price might go up by the time I book my next trip! It’s that good. I’ve stayed here every time I visit Kitakyushu, and my travel companions have all been extremely satisfied as well. Last year, they offered free luggage storage, but this year it’s been replaced with coin lockers. The coin lockers at ChaCha Town are quite small and may not fit large checked luggage. So if you want to store your bags after checkout, I recommend using the coin lockers at the hotel or Kokura Station. The lockers at the hotel are spacious, accept card payments, and allow you to set your own password—just make sure to write down the password you set! Overall, this place continues to be my top choice whenever I visit Kitakyushu. Highly recommended for anyone looking for comfort, convenience, and great value.

Our goal was to explore the northern part of Kyushu and Shimonoseki. It was really fun to see the clear difference from Kanto or Kansai area and as we arrived after the mid autumn festival time, most cities were extremely comfortable getting around.

You can enjoy shopping a lot or nature scenery as well. Very recommended. We love Aso area a lot, mountains there are green like Macha and food/fruit are really delicious, for example: tomatoes or milk, pudding....etc.

This is a small town but perfect for conference or a few day...

This is a small town but perfect for conference or a few day escape from routine trip. Some attractions like shrines, few hiking trails and a railway museum are around. Finally Fukuoka is just 15 away by Shinkansen. And this town has its small but charming airport!

Kokura Castle in the evening during Cherry Blossom season...

Kokura Castle in the evening during Cherry Blossom season was magical. Kokura Zoo is great. Slot car racing at Hunaudieres in Aruaru City was fabulous! Kitakyūshū Peace Museum is not to be missed, everyone should be required to experience this incredible place. Same goes for the Kitakyūshū Museum of Natural History! Lunch at the Kitakyushu City Central Library Cafe was perfect for the price.

We visit Kitakyushu every year because we have family...

We visit Kitakyushu every year because we have family members living there. I love Kitakyushu because of how peaceful and less crowded it is and I know the place more than the other cities in Japan. Kitakyushu also has a lot of local tourist spots that can be reached if you rent a car or by bus/train.

We had dinner at Magokoro Izakaya Shinshin, near Kokura Station. Both the meat and fish dishes were delicious and satisfying. They had a good selection of sake, and it was fun to try different varieties. The restaurant was full, but the food was served quickly and we didn't have to wait long. The staff were also polite and left a good impression. If I had to complain about one thing, it would be that one of the first dishes we ordered was the last to arrive. I had just finished my ice cream and was about to leave, so I couldn't help but laugh.
