This hotel is exceptional. Brilliant room and very helpful staff. Good laundry facility. Really close to the Onsen and hotel guests get a 100 yen reduction in cost for entry. A good selection of snacks also. May have been the first Kiwi to visit!

This was an outstanding experience! It was the best service we’ve ever had at a hotel, we truly relaxed and had the best time. The views are breathtaking. We loved watching the sun reflect on the river, drinking coffee in a beautiful Japanese garden, fishing and visiting the onsen. Thank you so much!

It’s unbelievably beautiful and cosy. We had such a lovely stay. Dashki helped us with booking dinner every evening which we needed as we had no idea where to go! Excellent for getting to Kinosaki really easily and then Kyoto after. Beautiful accommodation and extremely comfy beds. It was great we could use the lounge of the sister hotel to have a drink in the evening.

The hotel was very clean, quiet, and comfortable. The facilities were very good, and the staff were wonderful. Very helpful, especially when I needed assistance to get to the Genbudo Museum, as my Japanese is still very basic. They provided a couple of complimentary items every evening - drinks or a snack kind of thing. Only a short train ride from Kinosaki Onsen, too. I'll definitely be back!

The most aesthetic hotel I've stayed in. Old classic vibes without the smell that usually accompanies older buildings, and the bathrooms are well updated. Staff was very kind. I initially peeked into some of the communal rooms from the outside in the main hall out of curiosity. The staff turned on the lights and said I could go inside to look more closely. The lounge was nice and had free drinks (alcoholic and a few non alcoholic). The room itself was nice and spacious. The key was an interesting touch (old style metal key) and made me feel like I was in some game.

Amazing! What a lovely Ryokkan in a lovely little (very friendly!) town. Great hospitality from the staff, and a memorable private onsen experience we will never forget. The General Manager is a superstar and made us feel very welcome. We loved the private onsen. The short walk to the foot bath is gorgeous in the evening when the lights come on. People offered us their eggs and sweets, as they stopped to chat. (What a highlight of our trip to Japan!) Make sure to cook some eggs and soak your feet as you take in the atmosphere. It's wonderful.
