Everything. The cute and comfy yukata. The traditional Japanese style room had a nice retro vibe, with a traditional low table and sliding doors separating the main room from the small one with the river view. The public bath was spacious and clean. The lounge had a great variety of drinks and snacks.

I really liked the warm and cosy design of the room, which was very spacious, comfortable and outfitted with new and modern amenities. The sea view from the room is fantastic! The property is cosy and intimate with excellent meals that are well-organised and delicious! please don’t miss out KARATSU when you visit Kyushu, and MUST stay with AKARIYA! 5 minutes walk from the main bus station (Ootekuchi bus stop) road is flat, easy to find the lovely japanese house. super nice host Suzy, one of the most important reason why people stay here, speaks fluently English, reply messages immediately, helpful tourist information, with super friendly share house partners, we had fulfilled wonderful happy two days together. even arranged (upgraded ;) ) me to single room, well air-conditioned, cabinets, remote light, sockets, clothes hangers, big space for baggage, comfortable bed. common room with a small library, Kotatsu (the best in winter), lots of snacks. well equipped kitchen and bathroom, toilet every floor, small backyard, smooth free wifi, super clean all area. 5 minutes walk to the beautiful beach, 15 minutes walk to Karatsu-Jo, lots tourist spots in 10 minutes walk area.
