Definitely visit the zoo if you have the opportunity.

Definitely visit the zoo if you have the opportunity. It’s very interactive with lots of cute animals. The in Granpal Park illumination was also really good! 7/11 and Family Mart have amazing egg sandwiches. The kadowaki tsuribashi suspension bridge and trails are worth the visit as well.

Great places to eat, gorgeous river with light display in the centre of town, close to many attractions only a bus ride away. A smaller city, so lots to see in a quieter setting. Seafood meals in the restaurants were delicious and an easy town to reach in a train from Atami. The MOA in nearby Atami a must visit.

It is a small town that offers a nice beach and some good restorants. It is perfect for relaxing a few days after the tour of the big cities. The first thing you notice is the absence of noise and then the blue sea fills your eyes and you feel peace hugging you.

We went during the winter season in February and it was good...

We went during the winter season in February and it was good weather and an enjoyable stay! We were able to see the cherry blossoms! We saw komuroyama, the volcano omuroyama, did the jogasaki trail, went to kawazu to see the cherry blossoms, the imaihama beach where I definitely recommend to take a bike to go the beach! I also recommend taking a day-pass at Ito station where you can take as much as you want the subway. However, for the mountains you have to take the buses so use your pasmo / suica card or cash. And it is also important to have a lot of cash on you because a lot of places take only cash.

I made a round trip along Ito coast.

I made a round trip along Ito coast. The west side is a rural area with its natural beauty and rocky beach well preserved. Not many people and houses, which fit my preference well. The east side boasts some world class white sand beaches, gorgeous rocky cliff view and small islands.

We needed more time!

We needed more time! We loved the coastline and beautiful beaches, the hikes and attractions. You need to be careful with transportation if you don't have a car: make sure you know what buses and trains you are taking in advance. If I could do it again, I would stay longer and rent a car.

We booked one night accommodation + dinner and breakfast. The hotel offiered pick-up service from the nearby train station, which is very helpful because it is very difficult to move around without a car. The room is a cosy Japanese style room, with an outside private spa to use. Be super careful with different kinds of bugs especially you are afriad of them. Scared me so much when a large bug came out of the towel.

This place is such a gem! The atmosphere is surreal, the place very clean and the staff super nice and helpful. We chose the double room with private veranda on the river and we were so happy! We also got to try their private onsen, as well as one of the outdoor onsen they suggest, and were amazed by the experience. The hotel was i a perfect location to reach any place of interest in Ito.

Very traditional hotel, familiar style. I like the experience very much, very different from european style hotel. It was like I have seen in so many anime :) I enjoyed being in a tatami style room, with onsen. The owner was very helpful, arigato gozaimasu! Recommended for a unique experience.
