Everything was perfect ! The couple who manage, the room, the bar and the Onsen was the best one we visited, only little point that wasn’t perfect is that we can only use the onsen 50 min per day but it’s only if I have to find a bad pint 😉

Special mention to the kindness of the staff. The diner and breakfast were very tasty and refreshing. Great location for us looking forward to hiking in Amagi mountains, the hot bath on the balcony is a great addition to an already nice room.

A beautiful spa resort with wonderful indoor and outdoor public baths. Many public areas to relax, and games rooms and table tennis tables. Nice view from our room. Nice choice of foods, Japanese and Western, served buffet style. We had a very spacious room, with a living area and huge bed.

Definitely visit the zoo if you have the opportunity.

Definitely visit the zoo if you have the opportunity. It’s very interactive with lots of cute animals. The in Granpal Park illumination was also really good! 7/11 and Family Mart have amazing egg sandwiches. The kadowaki tsuribashi suspension bridge and trails are worth the visit as well.

Great places to eat, gorgeous river with light display in the centre of town, close to many attractions only a bus ride away. A smaller city, so lots to see in a quieter setting. Seafood meals in the restaurants were delicious and an easy town to reach in a train from Atami. The MOA in nearby Atami a must visit.

It is a small town that offers a nice beach and some good...

It is a small town that offers a nice beach and some good restorants. It is perfect for relaxing a few days after the tour of the big cities. The first thing you notice is the absence of noise and then the blue sea fills your eyes and you feel peace hugging you.

We went during the winter season in February and it was good...

We went during the winter season in February and it was good weather and an enjoyable stay! We were able to see the cherry blossoms! We saw komuroyama, the volcano omuroyama, did the jogasaki trail, went to kawazu to see the cherry blossoms, the imaihama beach where I definitely recommend to take a bike to go the beach! I also recommend taking a day-pass at Ito station where you can take as much as you want the subway. However, for the mountains you have to take the buses so use your pasmo / suica card or cash. And it is also important to have a lot of cash on you because a lot of places take only cash.

I made a round trip along Ito coast.

I made a round trip along Ito coast. The west side is a rural area with its natural beauty and rocky beach well preserved. Not many people and houses, which fit my preference well. The east side boasts some world class white sand beaches, gorgeous rocky cliff view and small islands.

We needed more time!

We needed more time! We loved the coastline and beautiful beaches, the hikes and attractions. You need to be careful with transportation if you don't have a car: make sure you know what buses and trains you are taking in advance. If I could do it again, I would stay longer and rent a car.

Staff are very friendly and proactive in providing additional support. My family and I had a wonderful time spending here, the picturesque scenery, the comfortable and authentic setting in the room, the beautiful ikebana deco and Japanese arts around making this place so aesthetically appealing. The food was beautifully presented and tasted so delicious. We enjoyed our stay so much and would like to stay here next trip to Ito.

Ben is a very communicative and friendly host. He gave us great recommendations on what to do in the area. The place itself is nicely furnished and has everything you need from a vacation home. Usami itself is calm, the beach is closeby, there's plenty of restaurants and cafés. The train in both directions leaves twice an hour, we recommend visiting Ito (one stop).

Nice traditional Japanese hotel, close to the station. the woman at reception spoke English well and was very welcoming. the breakfast was very good ( and copious!). the room was super comfortable and clean and looked exactly like the pictures - the view over sunset was amazing!

One main point for choosing the hotel was the Onsen which we were keen to try. It was amazing although you do have to be nude which, if I had known in advance may have made me choose somewhere else.
