Futon bed - one of the comfiest I slept in during my 3 months in Japan. Owner - She was nice enough to drive me to the closest onsen after I arrived following a 85km cycle. Food - Really nice jerk chicken, not something you’d expect to find in southern Kyushu

Excellent hotel with superb amenities. The room was large and comfortable. The view was fantastic. Excellent bath/ spa. Hotel shuttle was convenient. The hotel and the room were sparkling clean. Beds were huge and very comfortable. We had a wonderful stay.

BBQ dinner is splendid with wagu beef, pork, chicken, scallops, shrimp, mushrooms, vege, etc. Learnt to bake a cake using a BBQ stove. Fully equipped with all necessities. Nice but rather busy Onsen facilities as shared with local people.

Hotel Noir is a lovely boutique hotel, very close to Kagoshima Station and inside a shopping mall. Make sure you take the exit towards the bus stands to locate it quickly. There are drinks machines just a couple of meters from the hotel and lots of restaurant choices. Staff were friendly, helpful and polite. Enjoyed the layout of the room and size of bed and the lighting features. I would be very happy to rebook this hotel again as it's easy to get to different locations from there.

Perfect position in Tenmonkan, a few steps away from the tram stop and the bus to/from the airport. Next to all restaurants and shops and there’s a few convenience stores around. The check-in process is fun and easy. There’s always staff available behind the door, that is always quick to react and very helpful. The room was quite big and comfortable (for 1 person). Clean and comfortable. The mattress is great too and the hotel in general very quiet, so perfect for a good sleep. There’s even a “steam ironing” wardrobe in the room, that irons your clothes!!!! Amazing! I would come back when in Kagoshima!

Very stylish, clean and great views from the 13th floor. The room has everything you need as a solo traveller, at a great price. Hard to ask for more.

Superb central hotel, very comfortable and excellent in every way and great value . Really delicious breakfast, a la carte and buffet combined..Very friendly helpful staff, special thanks to Hashi at reception who was really nice and friendly and helpful and spoke good English. Most highly recommended.
