We had our own little house to herself. I wish we had known that we could cook. We would’ve brought heaps with us because we had our own kitchen. The views were outstanding. We were shocked when we arrived. It is definitely out of the way but for us who were doing the 88 temples driving was perfect wouldn’t suggest this for someone who was walking. The bath and shower facilities were out of this world.

Love the size of the rooms. We could open two mid size luggages. Room comes with a little balcony, lovely to sit and enjoy the view of the dam. There is also a wash basin in the room. Very practical. Shared bath is also being scrubbed daily. Staff are kind and helpful. Thank you reception staff for receiving us so late and providing late dinner, we didn’t expect it but it was very kind of him. Thank you.

We liked everything. From the design, location to staff and service. It's a remarkable place with a lovely and positive soul. There is love in every detail of the house and service. Our host was fun and easy to talk to and he really took his time to make us feel at home and talk about Japan and Japanese culture. Something we appreciated. The food was also amazing. Local and traditional. Prepared with the same love and attention. The location also offered a small coffee place which serves excellent coffee. The only reason we where hestistating to score it a 10 is because perhaps people would distrust our enthusiasm. things can't be a 10 can they? Well they can. It's a great place... go and visit.

The place was amazing. It has a private view to the famous bridge from the Anime and the living room and kitchen also the bath room were fully renovated . The garden is also pretty wide and you can do some bbq with your family or friends. The sky at night is so impressive . I have never saw that much stars in my life .(that’s how much the air is clean.) Amenity wise there was everything I needed. I am very looking forward to come back with my family next time .

We brought the groceries for dinner up from the supermarket in Yusuhara and prepared it in the guesthouse. There are no shops nearby - best to prepare in advance and make sure you have what you need. A delicious breakfast was provided and waiting for us in the fridge when we got up in the morning. We prepared the eggs and enjoyed everything with the fresh-baked bread.

This is a true Japanese experience. The hotel is an authentic, traditional spa resort, with old fashioned vibes, where you have to take off your shoes at the entrance of the hotel. Here you can enjoy the company of Japanese people, experience kindness and friendliness of the staff, have excellent food, and soak in the great atmosphere and surroundings of beautiful mountains. I loved the onsen with it's great variety of indoor and outdoor baths. Everything was easy and comfortable, there were free toiletries, water, snacks and fresh yukata everyday. Our room was spacious and very clean. No noise outside was a bonus. The receptionist and restaurant staff were so lovely, welcoming and attentive. Thank you for making our holiday in Shikoku so enjoyable ❤️
