Wonderful stay at this temple, outside of time. My room was spacious and very beautiful, right next to the prayer room of the temple. The futon was comfortable and the food really good both at dinner and breakfast. The priest welcomed me and walked me to the tomb of the master of Minobu, and also helped me to explain how to participate in the morning prayers at the main hall. I wish I could have stayed there for a few days.

The host was extremely kind, showing us a large building with a spacious floor, hammocks to relax in, and a beautiful view of Mt. Fuji (weather permitting). He also prepared a cozy BBQ area with lights and treated us to delicious homemade takoyaki cooked over the fire. A truly great experience! This was an outstanding experience. The chief priest and his family are amazing. The rooms are big and spacious, the food is very good. Minobu as an area is so beautiful, with large mountains covered with green cedartrees and nestled in between are all the important temples. The chief priest did an astounishing work in introducing us to the buddhist practices. The walk to the morning prayer, 04:45 in the morning is very very rewarding.
