This hotel is excellent. Spotless clean, friendly staff, you can rent bike for free (they have 6) and it turned out the best way to explore Kyoto (first come first serve basis). Absolutely amazing lobby/chill out area with free soft drinks and some pastry 24/7.

Loved the amazing friendly and helpful staff, who gave us good advice and discussions. Great location in central Gion in a quiet street but walking distance to almost anything. Great variety and range of eating places and the river close by and of course as many temples as you need with cool peaceful gardens as well as museums. Nishiki Market is a short bus ride or interesting 20min walk. The room was beautiful and fully equipped incl a small kitchenette, electric blackout curtains and lots of tech Breakfasts were copious and varied to suit most tastes, best scrambled egss in Japan. Amazingly bestiful designer chairs in a little sitting area and free laundry room was an unexpected bonus!

The facilities are simple and easy to use. Because there are few guest rooms, movement in hall is smooth. The location is very good right in front of Minami Kannonyama of the Gion Festival. The lounge had iced tea, apple juice and snacks during tea time, and beer and alcoholic drinks during bar time, which was comfortable.
