Stopped here for the night after a long and tiring day's bike riding in the mountains. Lovely little basic log cabin by a gurgling stream. Two bunk beds, a sink and an enclosed toilet outside on the verandah. As there are no restaurants or shops nearby, the kind and chatty receptionist, who speaks very good English, went to great lengths to get me a microwaveable curry and rice for my dinner and made me a bento style breakfast, so I could make an early start in the morning. Above and beyond!

Love the size of the rooms. We could open two mid size luggages. Room comes with a little balcony, lovely to sit and enjoy the view of the dam. There is also a wash basin in the room. Very practical. Shared bath is also being scrubbed daily. Staff are kind and helpful. Thank you reception staff for receiving us so late and providing late dinner, we didn’t expect it but it was very kind of him. Thank you.

Stunning setting in the midst of Shikoku’s beautiful lush hills. Chika and her family were very attentive. Welcoming us with a home made pie and tea with self grown ingredients. Washi paper workshop was very educational and also artistically inspiring, picking leaves and flowers from their beautiful garden to use for our washi paper. Accoomodation was spacious and charming in the authentic style with carefully placed washi paper elements in door screens and lamp shades. The family room had gorgeous views as does the big kitchen.

Very spacious, serene location overlooking the river and a short walk from one of the submersible bridges. The house had everything we needed and is beautifully renovated while still containing original features of a traditional Japanese house. The futons were very comfortable to sleep. We will be back!

Everything was very lovely and what a view! Not far from nakatsu george - lovely tea shop nearby- wonderful stay. Very clean.
