The cleanliness of this hotel is immaculate. The location to American village is only a very short walk away. The ocean amd sunset views are amazing. Beautiful friendly staff, so welcoming and inviting and helpful. The food always fresh and delicious. Comfortable beds and awesome shower and bath.

The location of this hotel is perfectly located for those in the military, a minute from one of the gates. Going for morning runs was perfect, the boardwalk is only a minute from the hotel as well. The cleanliness of the rooms is exceptional and the beds are super comfortable... a few of my coworkers stayed at other "3-star" hotels and slept in super hard beds.

1. Location, its next to American village with lots of eateries, shopping and the place is so vibrant. 2. Amenities, besides the standard comb, toothbrush, toothpaste, there were also very handy packets of wash, toner and lotion which is self-service at the reception area. There is also drinks from 2 to 10 pm for guests 3. Onsen, clean and spacious which comes with Dyson hairdryers and more amenities available such as comb & towels. There is also a footbath just outside the main door. 4. Breakfast, the spread covers the local, Japanese and western food. 5. Washer & Dryers, comes in 9 each so guests don't have to fight for the usage. 6. View at the pool during sunset is priceless

Location is very good. You can walk 3mins to Lawson and 10 mins to MacDonald or 15mins to Starbucks. The room is pretty big. The tutumi is very cozy. There is a small kitchen and fridge.

We stayed three nights and that was enough for us. Beaches need more atmosphere, loungers, restaurants, shade etc. Also realised you need to hire a car cause America town and closes beaches got boring after three days.

The places I needed and wanted to go to were all within -20...

The places I needed and wanted to go to were all within -20 minutes from each other. The area is nice and walkable, some family marts and Lawsons on the way if you need to stop for a quick snack or need to pick something last minute. Many places to eat just put what you like on the gps and go. Be wary that not of the places will have parking available.

Relaxed calm atmosphere, contrary to adjacent American village. Lots of small local places with great food and bars. Great for surfers and divers and people who simply enjoy quiet vacation by the beach.

I expected a beach area with a south pacific vibe.

I expected a beach area with a south pacific vibe. Instead it was a theme park. We couldnt use the beach that the hotel overlooked because it was closed and had to walk 2 beaches over. Very disappointed.

Chatan is an ideal location for people visiting family...

Chatan is an ideal location for people visiting family members in the military. It's very close to most of the bases, and has a wide selection of hotels. There is public transportation, but It's very walkable (in most areas). We felt very safe walking around. The America Village there has lots of shops, restaurants and bars. There were three or four beaches that we saw.

Location is quite far from the airport.

Location is quite far from the airport. However the sunset is exceptional and the restaurants are on the beach so you can get an excellent view. American village sort of reminds me of a cross between Disney and Vegas.

Excellent location with nearby American Village many option of shops and restaurants. Room is clean and many amenities self collect as you like from the hotel lobby. Front desk staff were exceptionally helpful as we had a situation of flight cancellation on the day of our departure and they helped us connect by phone to the airline and managed the extension of 1 day stayed at the hotel. All events were smooth and set us at ease. Thank you!

To my knowledge there is no breakfast service at this hotel. It is not a resort, rather a small, well maintained do it yourself hotel. The check in process is a bit clunky … without internet one would not be able to get in as they email one with check in procedures once you arrive… There is no reception, just someone who replies to the emails …although this method seems to work ok once one catches on…

Hotel is just at the fringe of the American Village which is great. Quiet and peaceful at night. It's nice to sit at the balcony just to chill. The room is huge by Japan's standard. I enjoyed the bathroom very much. Breakfast was good, delightful spread and a very clean restaurants.
