Absolutely beautiful rooms and location. Quiet and beautiful, I was sad to leave. Incredibly friendly staff - would highly recommend to anyone visiting Awaji of travelling through as you get five star service at a very reasonable rate.

This hotel was absolutely stunning. Amazing first class service and wonderful staff. We loved how quiet and private our room was. Stepping outside and literally hearing birds and being able to see stars at night was amazing. The room and the bathtub are spacious and comfortable. The meals are local cuisine and tasted amazing. This is one of the best experiences Ive ever had at a hotel. The staff was able to check our reservations to the Hello Kitty Show Box as well which was very kind. Thank you very much!

We loved the island of Awaji and would have loved to stay longer. While Picnic Garden has a distinctive summer feel, the glamping tents and beds were super warm. The food offerings in and around the accommodation were plenty and delicious, not to mention the breakfast hamper supplied by the property. We travelled the length of the West Coast to return to Kobe, and I was picking up Miami feels. Lots of bright colours, plenty of outdoor dining options, cute little container ice cream, and, coffee shops but all with a distinctive Japanese flair with a sense of summer fun. I would visit again.

I visited the theme park Nijigen No Morii with Naruto and...

I visited the theme park Nijigen No Morii with Naruto and Dragonquest Island and both was amazing. Ill definitely come Back to the Park. It's a bit tricky to get around with the local (limited) buses as there run only about once every hour so a rental car ist the better option. From Iwaya Port theres a Shuttle bus to Nijigen No Morii and the hello Kitty sites, it's free and stops on a couple of sites along the route. The Shuttle operates from 10am to 9pm.

When I asked the inn owners about my plans for the second...

When I asked the inn owners about my plans for the second day, they kindly drew me a driving map and made suggestions, which was extremely helpful. There are new spots and old tourist spots, so two days and one night is not enough. This time I was only able to see the northern half, so next time I would like to try the southern half. The men guiding me to the parking lot at Hanasajiki were all very kind, saying "hello" and "thank you." My purpose this time was to see the Awaji Ballet performance, and the one-hour performance went by in a flash. It was a professional performance, and I would definitely like to see it again if I have the opportunity.
