We had a wonderful stay at this villa. The property is truly magical on its own, with a beautiful interior design that made us feel like we were staying in a James Bond movie mansion. It is very spacious, incredibly comfortable, and equipped with everything you could wish for, truly a gem. We also enjoyed the private onsen, which was an unforgettable experience, and appreciated the various heating options that kept us perfectly warm throughout our stay. One thing to note: the villa is located about a 10-minute walk up a very steep hill, so be prepared for a workout on the way up. Another great advantage is that the villa is located right next to a bus stop, making it very convenient to visit the Hakone Open-Air Museum, Lake Ashi, and Gora village to take the ropeway up the mountain.

Just a paradise gateway! Best accommodation of our Japan trip. The staff are extremely nice, understanding and polite. The room is very clean and they would change the private onsen water daily if you would like so. The breakfast and dinner are excellent - tasty and huge portion. Will definitely stay at Fufu if we visit Hakone again.

Elegant and comfortable hotel. Even though it’s bit outside of the main towns it’s a good central location if you are traveling around the Mt. Fuji area. The SPA and the gym is great, the restaurant is very good and the facilities are fantastic. Plenty of parking if you drive your own car.

Second time staying at this property and whilst I thought my first stay was fantastic my experience was further enhanced by the English competency of the staff present this time around which meant for no misunderstandings. The facilities are great for onsen with indoor and outdoor facilities, as well as cypress hot tub in the bedroom. Above all the food is Michelin worthy multi course for dinner and breakfast with various wine and non alcoholic pairings. Its modern interpretation of Japanese traditional cuisine from the region, locally sourced really imaginative. Really fantastic stay again and would visit when next on business in Tokyo.
