Great atmosphere and really nice spot next to the river. Staff were very attentive to our needs, helping with taxis and were very nice with our toddler. The garden is amazing. Such a great hotel.

Large and comfortable rooms at the top floor as we booked the compact room, with all the amenities you could wish for and many drink options in the mini bar that are stocked up daily. Location was really good. The best were the staff. Genuinely friendly and going above and beyond to help you, five star hotel staff. The bath was also a nice experience as there is a little window. To look down on traffic. As we were on the top floor, the common area terrace was right next to our room and we loved having a drink with city views.

I booked a suite with garden river view and got a complimentary upgrade to a Panorama suite. Beautiful interior and wonderful feeling floating above the river. I was a le to see the mountains and shrines beyond. The manager Rio was so kind to book all our restaurants. The high season is super busy, but we haven't missed a single thing. Excellent location and very near my favorite Shrine, Shimogamo Jinja. The other days, we hiked up and down the river, lovely places and restaurants in the neighborhood. For sure, try the local deserts offered.

Beautiful Area and Ryokan, amazing staff and very kind, the atmosphere was so welcoming and comfortable it helped a lot to come down and escape the stressful daily life, amazing!!! I highly recommend it, the baths were beautiful and the room was spacious and well designed, the view was relaxing and the Onsen is nearby the shrine and route to kifune, I strongly recommend this stay and will definitely return. Thank you for making out time amazing!

The rooms in this hotel are incredibly spacious, with excellent decor and a high-quality ambiance that is truly impressive. The staff provides outstanding service and is very friendly to international visitors. Additionally, there is a supermarket and a bus stop on the first floor of the hotel. It takes only about 10 to 15 minutes to walk to the nearest subway station, making it extremely convenient. I highly recommend staying here, and I will definitely choose this hotel again the next time I visit Kyoto!

Such a beautiful traditional inn, we enjoyed our stay here, the staff was very welcoming, we loved the no-shoes policy and how everything was kept extremely clean, from the floors to the bathroom. Our room was spacious, beds very comfortable, with beautiful table for two and a view of the garden. Everything you need was in walking distance. Amazing experience!
