To begin with, we were so happy having decided to stay 3 days in this particular hotel in Petra. In 35 years of travelling we have met very few attentive owners (Ahmad and Mohammad here) of the hotel who got out of their way to make our stay comfortable and memorable. The hotel owners even felt responsible for their guests' problems unrelated to the hotel. We had a rental with a dead key fob battery and the first thing we did when we entered the hotel was to ask where we could buy a new battery. The owner Ahmad asked us not to bother and have a rest. He bought the battery himself and refused to take the money. Each time we met one of the owners or a staff member Mahmoud we were asked if we needed something, if everything was fine. The hotel has an underground parking with the lift to upper floors. Our room on the 2nd floor was very spacious, spotless, with a fridge and a kettle and complimentary water. The breakfast was varied, very tasty buns (especially the ones with cinnamon). We found the location excellent for our needs. A five minute drive to Petra visitor centre, a 5-10 minute walk to restaurants , a 3 minute walk to the bakery (try kullaj -flaky pastry). Should we decide to visit Petra again, we will undoubtedly stay in the same hotel.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at hotel Petra Moon that exceeded all my expectations: from the breathtaking location to the top-notch facilities, everything was simply perfect! However, what truly made my stay unforgettable was the extraordinary service provided by the hotel staff, particularly Raja and Osama at the front desk, Hosaifa, and the entire team. From the moment I arrived at the hotel, I was greeted with great kindness and professionalism. Raja at the front desk not only efficiently handled the check-in process but also took the time to explain all the amenities and services available at the hotel. The attention to detail and willingness to go above and beyond to ensure my stay was comfortable and enjoyable were truly commendable. They were always willing to answer my questions and provide helpful recommendations on places to visit in the city. Their passion for their work and genuine interest in guest satisfaction made a significant difference in my experience. Hosaifa, on the other hand, was always attentive. His friendly attitude and professionalism were exceptional. He was constantly attentive to my needs and asking if I needed anything. However, I cannot fail to mention the rest of the hotel staff, who also played a crucial role in making my stay an unforgettable experience. From the friendly bellboys who were always ready to assist with luggage to the housekeeping staff who kept my room impeccably clean, every team member displayed an exceptional level of professionalism and courtesy. Great value for money. Polite staff and helpful in organising breakfast at 5 am as we went on a guided trip before breakfast was open. Location is perfect, and parking right outside the hotel. Food was great, breakfast was simple and good, and we paid only 10 JOD for dinner and we pretty much got 4 portions for the 2 of us each time.

The hotel is clean, equipped with all the necessary facilities, and hospitable. Unfortunately, we didn't have a chance to eat dinner due to our short stay, but the breakfast was excellent. The owner's hospitality was also excellent; he invited us to his house to enjoy a beautiful sunset and treated us to delicious tea. Furthermore, when we told him about the low air in our car tires, he repaired them, allowing us to move on to our next destination with peace of mind. Thank you so much!

The locals are fantastically helpful.

The locals are fantastically helpful. The Petra complex is really well organised and there is a huge amount to see. Do take the free horse ride at the entrance which takes you to the entrance of the main gorge. If you can locate Ayham and Nasir, they can take you on longer horseback excursions though this mythical landscape. I had not been on a horse for forty years and they took excellent care of me on an unforgettable two-hour trip around the uplands away from the tourists. They were unbelievably considerate of a nervous rider and I got to see things you can't reach on foot. There is also a wonderful museum included in the price of your ticket which was empty wehn I visited

Our day in Wadi Musa was truly unforgettable — exploring...

Our day in Wadi Musa was truly unforgettable — exploring Petra from sunrise to sunset felt like stepping into another world. The walk through the Siq, that first breathtaking glimpse of the Treasury, the climb up countless steps to viewpoints… every bit of it was worth the aching legs. By evening, the city glowed with desert colors and we wrapped up the night with sore feet, full hearts, and endless photos.

Absolutely beautiful place, but lots of scammers!

Absolutely beautiful place, but lots of scammers! Locals were very pushy. At first they are overly friendly, but this quickly turns to rude and aggressive if you don't tip, they will lie about directions and then insist they be your guide. Even if you say no they ask for Tip. You just need to be aware of your surroundings and try not to let the scammers bother you.

I loved Wadi Musa for its welcoming people, stunning desert...

I loved Wadi Musa for its welcoming people, stunning desert landscape, and its closeness to Petra. If anything “could be better,” it would simply be having even more time to explore and enjoy everything the town and Petra has to offer. Ask about the transfer that drops you off at the top near the Monastery - this saves you walking up and then back down the same route.

Petra was the main highlight.

Petra was the main highlight. I would recommend spending at least 2 days here since 1 day isn't enough to capture the full experience. We ate at an excellent restaurant called "My mother's recipe" which had the most excellent food we ate in all of Jordan. Wadi Musa is very hilly, so be prepared for a lot of uphill walking unless you get a taxi or a rental car.

Everything was perfect, I recommend everyone to stay at least 2 days , city is lively, full of restaurants and shops like a beach cities in Europe so it’s good to have a time to spend in the city and enjoy your journey ! Don’t forget to go to the cave restaurant which is just before the entrance of Petra visit center , an amazing cave

The hotel has very modern rooms and facilities. Every part of the hotel was spotlessly clean. The staff were helpful and welcoming all times. Breakfast had a good selection of local food with tea and coffee available. The free wifi was good and available throughout the hotel. Free parking was very close to the hotel. While the hotel was up a hill from the town, with a car and the free parking both near the hotel and near the entrance to Petra it made for easy visiting to Petra at much less than the hotels down the hill. All up a great stay.

Value for money - it's a new hotel so everything is really clean and nice. We booked this hotel because It's a lot cheaper than the 5star hotels in Petra. The hotel is a 5 minute drive from the entrance to Petra. We didn't mind coz we had rented a car. The staff are super friendly and helpful. Dinner was amazing. Breakfast was pretty basic but quality of food was really good. The hotel gave us a free upgrade to a suite room which was such a nice surprise!!

Excellent hotel in Wadi Musa with a very friendly and helpful host. The location is in Wadi Musa downtown, which is near restaurants and about 20 minutes walk downhill to Petra entrance. The lobby is quite basic but don't be put off as the rooms are 4 star quality, with good facilities and great aircon (necessary after visiting Petra!). The hotel arranged the minibus to Wadi Rum, which picks you up from the hotel.

Exceptional stay. Lovely stylish rooms. Delicious breakfast and dinner buffets. Beautiful rooftop terrace with views, relaxing hip atmosphere. Short distance to Petra Visitor centre. Very few hotels are as classy and modern as this one on our budget.
